Well at least now Defoe knows that he'll have a chance of scoring in the play-offs if he comes here rather than the party being spoilt by being promoted automatically.

I’m not going back until he is sacked. Enough is enough. I’ve seen some utterly terrible things as a Sunderland supporter but these regular pastings away from home in league one with a pathetic excuse of a head coach are too much.

Everything about the club is rotten still. It’s just conmen after conmen at the top, generic lower league managers and cowardly little and feeble players.

We can't expect to win every game, but these capitulations and hammerings are just too frequent for us to pretend there is any fundamental progress being made. It's really not great to be "here we go again" with managerial appointments but what are, genuinely, our prospects under LJ now, we're not progressing over the last two season, we're standing still - "nearly" but never more than "nearly". Even if we sneaked up I feel sure we would crash back down based on the evidence of these games. There is a lot of work to be done, but someone could inherit a decent set of players that would pay dividends with a bit of organisation.
When you have players like Ross Stewart you always have a chance. Lee Johnson is squandering a decent squad.

Next Saturday’s going to be interesting….can’t see the majority of the crowd giving LJ and the team long before the rumblings start!

I’m an optimistic chap, saw the good in this team and in Johnson but this is a disgrace.

Gutting that we were in such a good position, gutting that 5000 of the best of us have travelled to Bolton to watch this and gutting that Johnson brought those same players out after half time and in the same formation.

The sad thing is he won’t be sacked and we will have more days like this. He must however be on thin ice and the owner having a word with him.

How many times I've thought 'we look the real deal' in this division, thrasing Sheff Wed + scraping undeservedly past Portsmouth I felt was automatic promotion stuff, only to not just have it questioned but made to feel an idiot for thinking it by a disgraceful s**t show soon after?

We can’t keep putting these drubbings down to a bad day. LJ is never going to get sacked so he really needs to look into where these clueless spineless performances are coming from.
They’re coming from the way he sets the team up. We can all see it but the only man that matters can’t see it.

Every year in this abysmal league I say we are not good enough for top two but predict we will go up via the playoffs. This year I have just resigned myself to yet another year in this pitiful league.
