Should the mods delete the posts bashing LJ for supposedly not wanting him!?
Has he signed?Gerrin.![]()
Yes- it will be signing a 39 year old whose legs have gone. Bloody LJ should have signed a young promising striker. But he never plays the kids etc etcThe same people will be on here if JD signs, to tell you that LJ has in some way done something else wrong.
Must've been quiet like cos I didn't hear it in SWC
Scott Wilson in clickbait shocker
It wasn't body language it was Lee Johnson's answer to the question do you want Defoe. It was just a strange answer. I am pleased he has cleared it up because it certainly sounded like he didn't want him. It would be a great signing for so many reasons.Partly.
Also partly with people thinking they’re some sort of modern body language expert.
Has he signed?
This. Just look at match thread before we scored for evidence that we have a number of trolls on here that are actively looking for bad news to spin an anti LJ agenda.Everyone who posted that it was an ego thing wants to be f***ing embarrassed, mind. I can understand wondering what was happening after the presser (which was admittedly a little clumsy). But the truth is that everyone who lost their shit going down that route only betrayed their own prejudices.
It would leave us pretty short, but if we can shift him on for a decent fee I can see how it would be difficult to turn down. He is a League 1 standard player and hasn't progressed as we have hoped.Sounds like Hume to Pompey is nowhere near yet either. I'm pleased. He can still be an asset to the squad this season..

Not sure what the plan is if Hume goes. Most of our alternatives for Cirkin are square pegs in round holes to an extent. I don’t generally like having the classic two players for every position when those two players can ‘only’ play in that position (if that makes sense). Makes squad management a more difficult exercise. But left back is almost the worst position to fill. Hope there’s a specialist in the youths that we can use - or that Huggins isn’t too far away.Sounds like Hume to Pompey is nowhere near yet either. I'm pleased.
