Is KLD just a farce?

So a controlling interest could be less than 50% and would prevent KLD from investing and diluting others shares? That accurate @Grumpy Old Man ?

The only way a controlling interest could be less than 50% is if there was a shareholder agreement in place which allowed him to pass all ordinary shareholder votes and full control over board appointments. Share issues are a matter for the board of Sunderland, whose directors are KLD, Igor Levin (Louis-Dreyfus family lawyer) and Patrick Treuer (CFO Lous-Dreyfus Group). Any shareholder not taking up their share would be diluted.

There's a common misconception that a share issue requires a vote by shareholders; in fact, the requirement is resolution by the directors, not the shareholders .

Smoke and mirrors - for all the talk we have seen nothing that gives us hope we have someone who can materially effect the progress of our club.

It's a vital distinction. You need to be a director to be even remotely involved in the day to day running of a company.
aye. Was a slip of the keyboard. Main question was why is Donald hanging onto shares if he knows he can't make a profit. Waiting on Kildaremackems answer . ;)

Sounding more suspicious by the moment. Looks like Donald and co still hold the power. We need investment Wigan are going out and buying players. Yes we have gone youth policy and will take a few years to take off but we need to get out of this division. Go and get what the fans deserve, just need maybes 3 quality acquisition’s. Strong dominant defender, ball winning midfielder and forward. Can’t stand another season down in this league.
How exactly do they do that, do you think they have KLD's mam held hostage

I`d rather we stuck with the youth policy and failed to go up than bring more washed up has-beens into the club for a couple of years.

The football (in the main) has been the most watchable for years this season. Dont get me wrong 2 or 3 signings would be very welcome but I`d prefer us to not panic and bring in the wrong ones and get lumbered with them.

kld said so..thats good enough for me...if you are calling him a liar then you need evidence.
the board of the club is full of klds people...if no majority how dud he get them on there?
kld isnt aiming for transparecy..thats why the club is owned by a secretive offshore entity..but there is no doubt kld is the one in control.
i doubt donald cares anymore..he knows now he made a huge mistake buying safc..probabky the worst of his life...and wont make a profit...i doubt he would be interested in pulling the stroings even if he could
If it comes out that the controlling interest does not involve him owning 51% of shares but is some sort of voting deal the fans will never forgive him... you will say its his business and he can do and say what he likes.

Owning a football club aint like any other business ..if he wants to be a success here he will have to have the fans on board with him and lying to the fans is a recipe foe disaster!
Crack on with the smileys fella

No but would you not welcome another billionaire on board?
Yes who wouldn't provided they were not cutthroats and were willing to spend to achieve success and rich enough not to be bothered by the losses.

Fail to go up and we'll have no youth left after the vultures have a go on us. Mad. Ground zero

Pretty unfathomable to fail this year of all years with Stewart, Hoffmann and Dajaku gone. Neil (but he isn't playing well). Embles. Pritchard gone

He probably can, if there's a higher price on promotion (in which case he has a vested interest in it happening), or at the very least reduce any loss.

Easy option as has been said and asked for many times before, publish who owns what shares and the number, its quite simple.. The only reason not to publish is making supporters fell that there is something to hide by the new board..

Under NDA isn't it? Pretty sure he came out and said recently that he'd tell everyone when he is legally allowed to do so (common place in business acquisition btw)

If there is a "NEW" investor coming onb board as previously stated by the Club it would make no difference, or shouldn't make a difference. Clarity is what people would like to see but i suspect these chancers are still having quite a say in the running of the club. To what extent, thats the real question.
