I think we are trying to get players in but like most windows it always waiting to the end of the window to allow the dominos to fall in all leagues…

Wow. That seemed wrong so I checked and yep, 6 wins from 20. this talk of an amazing 10 game run seems a bit silly. Basically we won a few games in December and lost or drew the rest

I'll ask the guy again then. Unless he just reeled off Eton as something he'd expect that type to attend. He didn't say he was at Eton with Johnson, just Hancock, but as I said , he might just have thrown that in as a place you'd associate them with.

Or could that be Methven spouting nonesense himself? Not relative to the thread I guess, but he did say KLD seemed very pro active, but then cleared off for a while.

I haven't read through the whole thread but not sure if it's been mentioned but I definitely am but not because of the players.

More with the pitch is National League standard, there's lights around the ground been broken all season, the club shop farce hours, the refusal to sell tickets on a match day and the ticket shop opening hours.

Little trivial things but their not the sort of things you expect from a club looking to go up the league's.

This x a googol Honesty is always the best policy when it comes to safc fans.At a minimum we need to know who owns what. Then probably a honest discussion about our finances ant the plan moving forward. We get vague talk of sustainability and then nowt further..

We know KLD is a trust fund billionaire and we can guess he cannot drum up funds at a whim without a business plan to the trustees ... The rest is all surrounded in secrecy and that leads to speculation about motives..

My guess and its just a guess is that the target is the money of the premiership and the plan is to get there is slow steps by maximizing recruitment of good young players creating a team to move us forward ..then selling a couple of payers to pay he bills and hoping there are a new batch of players to fill the gaps.

The problem with this model is twofold .. lots of clubs are trying to do this model and there is a finite number of players to recruit on the cheap and it takes money to fund the model.

In truth safc is a business and we have no divine right to know the business plan or their motives....However football ownership is not like any other business they (the owners)have to keep the fans on board or lose revenue......

At the moment I think we are at a tipping point and if the owners fail to get good players in January and waffle about the share ownership we will lose thousands of fans if we don't go up this season .

Time will tell and i cannot wait to see what sort of owner KLD is!

I thought that couldn't possibly be true. I checked. It is. 6 wins in the last 20.
 
I think if it comes out that the previous owners still have a significant stake in the club then a lot of fans will walk away. The longer this non-disclosure goes on, the more suspicious folk become.

Perhaps a shareholding disclosure will come once the renewal packs are sent out, paid for and your hard-earned money is trousered by the chancers banked.
