Samsung phone upgrade (boring mobile phone question)

As it says in the title, this is a boring mobile phone question!
OK, I'm currently using a Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge which I've had for quite a few years now. I've held onto it for so long as it's been by far my favourite phone, but as always, all good things must come to an end and I'm looking for an upgrade.
I've always been a Samsung fanboy, so only want another Galaxy S model, but can't decide which one to go for.
I'm currently torn between playing it cheaply and going for an older S10 model or paying a bit more and going for a more up to date one in the S20 or S21.
I want to keep it for a few years hence I'll buy outright: any recommendations or opinions on the phones mentioned? Cheers.
(Yes I've Googled this till I'm sick but want the opinions of you good people!)

If your going to go for the flagship phone i would wait 4 month when the new one comes out. However i would only do this nowadays on a monthly. Arent they like £1k to buy now when they first come out?

Aye. I always look at older refurb models, saves a good chunk.

I have had Galaxy S since the original, then S3, S5, S6 S7Edge and s10+ and right now 1 have an S21 Ultra, it's great, the 10x Optical Zoom camera is stunning, it's fast and the video quality is amazing, I've read some reviews on the S22 Due next month and I'm going to give it a miss and go for the S23 next year
Samsung offer a good trade-in for the S7 Edge I got £200 off when I bought this online, I also got a 15% birthday discount so I got my phone for £850, they do IFC over 2 or 3 years.
Maybe worth you signing up for a samsung account and use a birthdate for next month

Depends what you need I guess, I've had a 10 a 20+ and now got s21 ultra.
Tbh I can't think of anything I didn't like about the 10.
Main upgrades you notice and use day to day are cameras on most phones these days.
Still got my 20+ as a spare it only got used for 7 months, was gonna sell it but kept it as a backup just in case.

I'm the same mate, normally get them on a 2 year plan and upgrade to the latest model every 2 years. This time though when it rolled around last May I just thought I was perfectly happy with my 10+ and I honestly didn't need anything else in a phone.

The camera is fantastic it plays games well on a big vibrant screen, internet, emails, streaming apps, sport all great. What do I need on top of that ?
About the only thing is the charging port can be temperamental and I just have to make sure it's all the way in for fast charging. Went to sim only and saved myself $50/month. Come May that'll be $600 in my pocket I'll have saved.

Here is a photo I took with the 10x zoom

This is the thing, on one hand I like the idea of saving money, and the 10 seems around £100 /£200 cheaper than the 20/21, but with the 21 being the newer model it'd presumably last longer?
Or is it a no brainer to go for the 10 at a much lower price?

Yeah, I'm on sim only so would normally buy a refurb every couple of years, but I liked the S7 Edge so much I've stuck with it. It's only now that's it's starting to get a bit slower that I'm looking to replace it.
The S10 for a good price then seems like a good option.
Hmmm.....

Tbh if you can get a 20 or 21 for about a hundred more I'd get one of those.
The cameras are great (obviously varies again if its a plus or an ultra)
Plus that hundred quid you'll probably easily save if you upgrade in future.

I've got S21 ultra.
I like it, ultimately it depends if you need anything specific. I'm just an average user so for me it tends to do the same as the iPhone Xr I had last, just with a decent camera & battery life
Actually that's another good point the batteries in the 20 and 21 are superb now compared to older models.
Used to always have to take a booster to away games but get through a long day no bother now with my 21 ultra and I'm a heavy user.

I've just upgraded from the S9 as it was totally kapoot. I looked into getting the S20 FE and S21. I went with the S20 as the S21 didn't give the option to add a memory card.
Battery seems to be really good (that's what forced me to upgrade the S9) and all the main features I need are as expected with a Samsung but better.

I was Samsung only for donkeys then went over to Xiaomi. Unbelievable phones for the price. Bought a brand new Poco x3 for 179 squid and it pisses all over my galaxy s7 and the battery lasts for ever. Couldn't recommend enough.

Yeah the battery is great. I bought a booster with the phone and I've rarely had to use it.
