Novak Djokovic

My issue is that when he was allegedly positive, he was posing for pictures with bairns and conducting interviews with journalists.
I fully respect his right to do what he wants with his body with regards to vaccinations but it appears he hasn't afforded others with the same respect.
This for me, imagine that was one of your bairns man you’d be pissed right off.

You can think what you want mate. If you think murder is fine go and stick an axe in your neighbours head. And tell the police that you think it's fine.
Are you comparing going to another country to do your job with murder?
Why do people lose all sense of reality when discussing Covid stuff?

No, why do people always completely miss the point of an analogy?

He's not comparing murder and immigration fraud as morally co-equivalent actions. He's talking about your opinion of already-existing legislation. Basically, if somebody knowingly and willingly went and killed someone with a weapon, it wouldn't matter if you personally thought it wasn't a 'murder', because you think murder as a legal category needs to be reworked.

Its the same principle with Australian border controls. You might disagree with them - you may also lack a full understanding of what they even are - but it doesn't matter whether you personally agree or disagree with the legislation, Novak Djokovic is in violation of them, and he travelled there willingly, with apparently fraudulent documents.

The analogy was about legislation and knowingly violating it, not about moral equivalency of the content. It flabbergasts me how often people accidentally (or deliberately) misunderstand this.

Every single person, as far as I'm aware is potentially vulnerable to contracting and spreading Covid. Trees in fact vary massively I how they burn, how fast the burn, how likely the fire is to spread to other trees and some trees don't burn at all.

There are a family of trees called Aizoaceae that you couldn't set on fire with a blowtorch!

This time last year, less than 10% of the British public had had a single dose of vaccine. In the same week year, daily deaths were at 1800 from about 40k cases per day.

Now, the majority of the country is double or triple jabbed. We had this week about 130k cases per day, and an average of about 200 deaths per day.

I'd sat that is an absolutely astronomical comedown.

You're comparing apples with oranges. If want to assess the impact of a new roundabout in Central London, I don't compare it with the impact of a new roundabout in South Sudan.
You mentioned trees, you never said there were any that couldn’t burn, what if those threes you do mention are the ones in the middle, you wouldn’t need to paint them.

I think you’ve came up with the perfect natural forest fire break, get onto the powers that be with your solution.

The virus should’ve taken out thousands and thousands of U.K. unvaccinated people by now, 4.5 million to go at isn’t there?

You cannot compare vaccination rates to a reduction in deaths if your last point is correct.

I don’t think your apples and oranges statement is a valid one, unless the strains in other parts of the world have differed totally and are not as potent therefore there’s no need to vaccinate whole populations on the back of it.

I can see things changing within the next couple of months and possibly won’t be as much division as there currently is.

South Sudan and Central London don't possess the same variables. There are climate, lifestyle, population density, cultural, wealth and excess income, and a range of other factors that affect how covid transmits among populations.

Nobody with their heads on forwards would suggest that people crammed into Central London, in a cold climate in the winter, who spend lots of time indoors in poorly ventilated buildings with central heating systems, and travel to and from work on packed transport, is anything like living in South Sudan - a hot country with a small population, with little excess wealth and a modesty culture.

Lots more people intermingle in vastly greater numbers in confined spaces outside of their own homes, in conditions which encourage the spread of airborn diseases in London, than anywhere in South Sudan.

If I was on a diet, I would judge my progress against me. It doesn't mean I'm doing badly if 70 stone Sandra has lost more pounds this week.

How do you know which ones don't need painting?

No, because the vaccinated people are doing their jobs by being the 'painted trees'. ICU wards are vastly disproportionately represented by the unvaccinated.

There are lots of vaccinated people in there as well, but those will be people who would also be in there if they hadn't had the vaccine, where as the wallies who could have had vaccines and haven't, might not be in there, if they had.

  • Between 2 January and 24 September 2021, the age-adjusted risk of deaths involving coronavirus (COVID-19) was 32 times greater in unvaccinated people than in fully vaccinated individuals

You think people don't go around murdering other people become of 'legislation'?
If a law is stupid, of course I'll ignore it.
Did you never have a pint when you were 17?
Did you never 'jaywalk' in a country where it was illegal?
Australia's 'border control' laws are a disgrace, and if anything good comes of this whole shambles I hope it's that their idiotic laws are in the spotlight.

You've managed to miss the point twice! You'd also demonstrate why the rules Djokovic has broken are in fact, wrong...

According to Savid it’s the older generation that worries him regarding hospital admissions, now baring in mind they’ve always been the age groups with the highest proportion of vaccinated why does it worry him?
