Mags on twitter kicking off because this line from Burnley isn't thanking him enough

"Everyone at Burnley FC thanks Chris for his efforts and contribution during his time at the Club."

Spending 25 million on a backup striker to cover 8 weeks says to me that money is absolutely no object.
Yas have had bids turned down for a boat load man cos yas obviously dont want to pay them money or cant 😂

If money was no object you would be improving in wilson not signing a backup. Hes a crock

Is he shushing our disapproval in that guardian piece? Looks like a right idiot.

I must admit I’m so so so bored at the way players and football in general is presented. That includes our club. Just the generic shots, the gloss, the pose. Be nice if a club broke that tradition. Got a bit arty and rock and roll with it all. And actually showed a bit of the players personality in the photographs they present.

If they even have a personality? Sometimes I wonder.

Sorry if SEB (ignore if it is)
That article is embarrassing as well. She’s going on like Trippiers crosses will automatically guarantee goals for Wood.

Trippier has got a decent cross but so have loads of players in the premier league

What would the current squad think that the management think they are so desperately shite that they feel they must panic and damage rival clubs to avert relegation?

 Thats a huge step up.

The signing just looks like after Saturday they were so desperate to sign a striker before Watford game that they just looked for anyone with a release fee to get it done.

Proper Howe signing, mind. Double figure fee for a player that will do alright in the championship.

£25m

It's like one of those crazy release clauses you put in for your players on Football Manager, knowing it will never be hit

Burnley look absolutely fucked anyway, but how funny would it be if they signed a replacement for a fraction of that fee who ended up firing them to survival

Burnley could sign a player that does better than Wood this season and then it isn't bad business at all for them.

£25M for him is an absolute massive panic buy. Only bid because Trippier's agent (same as Wood's) told them about his releaee clause.
