Some stats on Chris Wood:

Average days between goals is 28....once went 130 days and has gone 30 days 13 times. With 130 days (coincidence?) until the end of the season, then at his strike rate he will score 4/5.

You can see the types of teams he scores against. Never scored against City, Liverpool or Chelsea.

Loves scoring against West Ham (7), Wolves (5), Leicester (4), Norwich, Brighton, Spurs, Bournemouth , Palace and Villa (3) - and the mags play some of those.

I think due to covid and demise of Watford that they will stay up and they will be bitching next summer about having him. A 30 year old battering ram doesn't get you into Europe.

Of every striker in the top 5 european leagues he's:

Bottom 40% for goals per 90
Bottom 39% for shots
Bottom 35% for assists
Bottom 10% for xA
Bottom 24% for non pen xG+xA
Bottom 14% for shot creating actions
Bottom 39% for passes completed
Bottom 8% for pass completion
Bottom 36% for progressive passes
Bottom 6% for progressive carries
Bottom 11% of dribbles completed
Bottom 21% for touches
Bottom 37% for pressures
Bottom 48% for tackles
Bottom 16% for interceptions
Bottom 48% for Clearances

Top 21% for blocks
Top 4% for aerials won

He might score he might not but, regardless, the night of the take over when they were dancing with tea towels on their heads I don’t believe any single one of them thought thought they’d have Beheddie as their manager and would be signing Chris Woods.
And if they could be honest with themselves they’d admit that too. Of course, it’ll never happen.

You cudda just posted a link like this ;-)

It looks like the may be ending as the Trust Board have said they won't be buying a share in NUFC with current owners. Although it got a good start in April raising over £60,000, the monthly contributions were dropping each month and it went for £20,000ish in May to £11,000ish in December as people stopped contributing.

Regardless it was a good effort and over £200,000 potentially going to charity if they do vote to stop it. Rivalry aside, you have to say well done to those who put the cash in 👏

Biased but fair.
In both cases consideration must be given to our league position and, whilst we appear to have loads of cash, so do plenty others. Plenty others who will be, for the foreseeable future, better options. Having new owners does not immediately mean we shop in the same market as City, LFC or CFC.

You are right of course Janey. In our defence, not the clowns dressed in tea towels, we are all allowed to dream…. even Newcastle fans 😁

Apparently they found out about his release clause through trippier as they have the same agent

Its the most scattergun approach ive ever seen 😂😂

Theres no thought/scouting gone into these signings
Chris Wood will not suit Howe's style of play. Chris Wood and Joelinton up front

Better to stick it all into a food bank or children’s poverty trust.

Obviously you don’t watch much EPL football. Joe Linton is not a striker. He has been converted into a top class midfielder. Keep up ffs!!!

Be funny as fuck if Burnley spend the money on a striker that scores against them and puts them down on the last day of the season.
This is what I was thinking. If Burnley are smart, they can sign better players for £25m.

So they've brought him in to shore up the defence then :)
