Restaurants in Sunderland city centre

This is madness. They’ve had years to relocate but not took the redevelopment of the site seriously now the council pressured into relocating them…and at what cost? What if the council don’t own any suitable properties or what lucianos want.
I probably should have added that I’d certainly like the business to continue in the city but just not to dictate everything on their own terms and for the public to get involved.

Didn’t realise they’d had so much prior warning. If that’s the case then it’s a bit rich getting people to sign petitions to find them a new home.

Must have been known about before October 2020. Sure council said they’ve also been given discounted rent since corner flag closed (c 2016). Sounds like they are claiming they were promised hotel but that’s been disputed by the council.

I think the council bought that block around the time keel square was being done. Which was what, 8 years back?
That's how much time they've had.
