Aye 'solid signing' apparently.
This isn't what they expected.
They're on now saying it lets them play the likes of Joelinton back in his proper position....eh is this the same joelinton who they're creaming themselves about playing as a midfielder?!? Are they really that stupid?

They're also saying it's fine because they've taken him from a rival. Aye 20 million, well worth it.

Chris Wood has scored 12 or 13 goals every season for the last 4 season. So he's due 6 goals from now until the end of the season for the mags. That's over 3 million quid a goal.

Shite signing. They're utterly fucked. It's hilarious this. They have no idea
Their first aim is to stay up. This is a solid signing
See above.

That's also in a side whose manager plays to his strengths. Where does a big, aging, not that mobile centre forward fit into 'Howeball'?

It wasn’t in Man City’s first couple of transfer windows either. The signings they are making are quite sensible. Proven premier league players with good attitudes, rather than overseas, expensive risks
Man City signed robinho, tevez, adebayor, clichy etc from champions league clubs  and appointed mancini.

How is that comparable to Eddie howe and Chris Wood?

You're bang on. And a much better team than the clip Newcastle are right now.

He will score about 5 goals if he's lucky but probably will get injured.

I dont actually think Wood is a bad player but the new owners are running the Mags exactly the opposite of how you need to do things.

Thats Trippier (31) and Wood (30) being brought in for huge money / wages and neither will give you any resale / money back whatsoever.

Ashley got them into a position for FFP to ensure they could spend but these are going to blow it within a few windows and end up strapped by regulations.

I guess they are just trying to stop up and are prepared to write off a bit of money to do that. All that said trippier will be fine for a couple of years yet. Mind if I supported the richest club in the world you’d be pretty depressed if Chris wood was turning out for you for too long 😂
