NUFC Sportswashing 2022

This could be their equivalent of a Donald / Methven moment, and we discover they’re not quite as affluent as first thought thought. At least the cleaned the windaz.

They are rich that is undisputed but they are also not stupid. Bringing an AJ flight to Saudi or a golf tournament or a F1 race has tangible benefits. Pumping millions into a team in the NE of England does not. I know I sound like a stuck record but AS's role in this is the key - she is not wealthy enough to perpetually stump up 15m to fund her 10% of a 150m splurge....so I think the expenditure will be modest. The win a trophy in 5 years is just a throwaway sound bite.

We will never let them forget how naive and gullible they all were!

It is the unwavering faith in the new owners that gets me. They are evidently clueless and relying upon "football consultants". The takeover was going on for 18 months on day one they should have had a DoF/Head of Recruitment/Head of Academy/Head of Analysis all lined up and ready to go. Something tells me very little of this 300bn is going to trickle down to NUFC.
Shirley they've got a few spare heeds they can slot in

So I’m probably asking a stupid question but if the investment group fork out £100m on transfers does it have to be 80% from PIF , 10% from Reuben Brothers and 10% from Stavely? Is that how it works?

It can do.

But the business can also stump up the money if it has it.

Or shares can be diluted etc.

There's loads of things that can be done.

You’re right, stupid question, that’s not how it works.

Well it either comes from internally generated funds but they were running at a very low profit or they inject new equity. There is a decent table here of owner financing over the last 5 years:

The orks of course hope that their will be some mega sponsorship that will fund transfers.

If they want to keep the 80:10:10 split then if they issue equity to fund transfers then AS and JR need to stump up their share.
