They'll end up having to sign players they know aren't good enough for the long-term, and they'll have to overpay to get them. Once they get to a certain level, you start shipping those out and replace with next level players gradually, if and when you can attract them.

We know that will take many years. The most vocal mags can only see as far as the end of this window.

Spot on mate, I’m in Gateshead and it’s exactly the same. Lovely people but get them on about football and they turn into complete lunatics.

You obviously do get the odd one who isn’t ridiculously over the top but they are few and far between.

It's a shame for the kids really. When the takeover happened all the adults were so excited they started chirping about Mbappe type signings in January and CL footy and the kids were dragged along into the hysteria.

Now, despite really big efforts in the pitch, they are still shite, MBappe isn't coming, and they are being dumped out if the FA cup by Cambridge.
