Weight loss thread 2022

Just finishing off the last remaining bits of Christmas naughty food then will be going into a clean eating phase. Need to cut down on bread and processed carbs.

Exercise has been terrible over the past few weeks due to crap weather, getting COVID on Xmas Eve and general laziness but I'd like to get back into a routine of a daily walk.

Overall, 2021 was a rollercoaster year. Had a really good start and lost a stone by March, plateaued for a while and then slowly drifted up finishing the year on 6 lbs down.

The Euros and England's good run probably had something to do with it? Derailed many. Good luck for this year.
Doing a semi-dry January, having a few beers once a week as part of my cheat meal. Other than that, cutting out rubbish in January & focusing on sleeping better, upping my protein, getting my steps up and doing more cardio/circuit based weights in the gym.
I'm doing pretty much the same. Recipe for success I hope.

Currently up at 96 kilos from my low of 93. Fully expected as I’d planned on being a greedy bastard over December. A few weeks diet and exercise will see that shifted although we still have a fair bit of Christmas cakes knocking about

Currently at 182 after christmas booze, ket and cheese. Expect it to go up a little as my birthday is next week and there will be nights out and that then back to the grind, I'm looking to tap 160-165 this year.

The insanity dvds have been brushed off and I'm on day 4. At >40 it's an entirely different proposition now.

Put on 7 stone since leaving uni 7 years ago so look like Jabba the huts obese cousin so big changes, starting with knocking the drink on the head for 6 months and eating right
I’m down 8 stone so it’s doable. Don’t try and rush anything or you’ll end up miserable! Just try and remember it’s taken you 7 years to get this weight so it’ll take a couple of years to lose it again.

Yeah tbf I always yo-yo with my weight I lost 5 stone in 9 months in my last year of uni but I was going to the gym 7 days a week and eating rice and tuna as a poor student 😂😂

I was a skinny bugger at University. I could drink every day, eat crap and do no real exercise and never put on any weight but my metabolism totally changed in my mid-20s and went from a 28 to 38 waist in only a few years.

One of the big differences is that when I was a student I didn't own a car and was too tight to pay for buses so I'd walk everywhere

Need 2.5/3st off in the next 3/4 months

Have dont it before in lockdown1 where I cut all white carbs and exercised daily. Doing that again but with zero alcohol, certainly for January but perhaps even beyond

Ive gone back to tracking food to try and gain a bit discipline. For years ive fluctuated between 14st.6 and 14st.9. Over the past 6 month or so thats crept up to around the 15st mark. Im a tall, broad fella so I tend to carry it well. I'm going to try and drop back down to 14st 7 or even a few pound less. Downloaded nurtocheck in the hope it helps me cut down on my snacking which does tend to be the problem, especially late at night
