Because players and clubs should be doing whatever they can to reduce the chances of contracting the virus or spreading it. Especially if there's a possibility that games will be postponed.

They have an obligation to the sponsors and the fans that allow them these obscene salaries.
France are considering saying only double vaxxed players can play. Will apply to Chelsea when they play Lille in the CL if it's passed.
It's already been impemented over here in the AFL. Players need to be double jabbed to train, play and travel with the team. This also applies to officials.

Yes, a few players have resigned/retired because of it but that's their choice

Being vaccinated doesn't stop you getting it or transmitting it though. If they've got covid they've got covid whether unvaccinated or not. If they're missing games because of a positive test they are still gonna be counted as part of it. Not sure what doing it your way would even achieve

It reduces your chance of transmitting the virus. So any unvaccinated player isn't playing their part.

Having the jab reduces your risk of catching it AND passing it on though.

People focusing on Watford when Burnley are still above Newcastle and have 4 games in hand. They are also traditionally better in the second half of the season.
So did we 'traditionally' until it didn't happen one season  It could well be the order of their fixtures with more easier home/away games in the 2nd half of season as 2018/19 possibly looks. Last season they had 22 points after 19 games and got 17 in last 19 games so I wouldn't call it a tradition. I get what you mean in a way but it still doesn't mean they will do it again this season.

Although they've only played 15 games so far this season, they have 1 win in 18 PL games since beating Fulham last season, drawing 8 and losing 9. Go a bit further back to their last 24 games and it's W3 D8 L13. It could well be that Dyche goes this season if they don't turn it around soon enough.

Though I will say it again, owt could happen #OCH
