There is a definite disconnect between how they are perceived in the press, and the actuality of results.

No doubt about it, that performance was clearly a massive improvement. Joelinton has obviously massively improved, but the over hype is incredible. The press would not get so excited or over enthusiastic about that performance had it been Burnley or Norwich.

de Gea - the only Utd player who turned up

whole Manure team - passing abysmal, effort abysmal, but top marks to Ronaldo & Fernandez for constantly moaning at their team mates.

These are two of the biggest prima donna's to wear a football shirt & now totally undermine that team

Harry Maguire was absolutely atrocious - can't defend, slow as a cart horse & an accident waiting to happen

Mags deserved to win - but the odd draw here & there isn't going to help them
I thought that Maguire was quite good.

He had to help out Varane who isn’t match fit.

There was no cover from midfield until Matic came on.

Maguire had to set up attacks with long passes.

There were far worse players for man united.

Only watched to see them lose but evident from the off they were not going to as Man U were pathetic all over the park, except keeper.

They worked hard but without Maximus they'd be totally shit.

Surprised their isn't a match thread on the skunks last night.
That game was really really woeful.
The passing by man u was worse than most things you see in league 1.
I can't believe how bad the game was.
The mags played ok, but honestly, when you're playing a team as inept as man u were last night, they would make anyone look good.
The amount of passes which went to the opposition was higher than anything I've seen this season.
They were lucky to bear Norwich and lucky to get a point last night.
The mags won't face a team as poor as that again this season.

There was; it got merged into this. No idea why.

That Dalot looked way out of his depth.
Shocking every time I've seen him.
Skunks done OK imo. Before the game I expected them to lose. However seeing how crap Man I were if I were a skunk aI would consider that was 2 vital points lost bearing in mind performance of Man U
Mags shd have been 2 or 3 up at half time...Doncaster would have given Man Utd a game last night on that first half showing.
Wilson with a torn calf. Out for months
Good player but always gonna be missing for a good couple of months of the season...pivotal to keep him fit but we will see what is in the Saudi's "Wor Chest" in the next week or so.

Everton are absolutely decimated. I’d be desperate to play them now. The mags are running the risk of playing Everton at a later date when they have a fully fit squad and DCL up to speed.

Exactly this... injuries should play no part at all no matter what, this goes for all teams, draft in youth players if needs must.

A certain pre-agreed limit of Covid cases in squad and game off, no issue with that, but how can injuries now suddenly be included?
Howe really said “injuries” rather than just Covid? Lapse slip of the tongue there

Never heard him mate...but certainly Benitez, Tuchel and other managers have been saying "injuries and Covid" in relation to trying to get games cancelled.

They will be the first to complain when they have 3 games to play in a week in order to compete the season.
