That was like 5 years ago. He's massively declined in that period of time. Believe it or not, it happens.

And not that long ago that was all down to Steve Bruce.

Bruce is gone and there's been no noticeable improvement in your squad bar Joelinton not being quite as shit as he was.

Last year. Players are brilliant. Manager doesn't get the best out of them

What's your opinion on Willock? Hero under Bruce, doing fuck all under Howe... has his ability suddenly declined as well? Or has Eddie coached the talent our of him?

He’s 22 and a few months now mate , he was only 22 when Bruce had him playing well , Ashley’s fault
 
The mags are pinning their hopes on signing 5 or 6 quality players in January.

Now football is never that easy firstly signing players in January is never that easy

Secondly if you do sign them it's usually at the back end of January which will mean another few games played and also when clubs decide wether they should allow players to go out on loan or sell them as they don't want to leave themselves short

Thirdly not many good quality players want to join a team on 10 points and heading for the championship

Could it not just be that he’s always been average, but 5 years ago he played a few decent games and look good. A bit like Colback, the banjo brothers and now Joe Linton, who will soon revert back to type.
 
To be fair I work in wallsend and the lads who have season tickets and have for years are sound.

All think they are fucked.

They've got Man United next, then its Everton, Southampton, Watford, and then Leeds on 22nd January.

So the four teams in 14th - 17th in the league at the moment.

If the new players arrive after those games and not before, then I reckon it will probably be too late for them anyway.

Either support the team or don’t. There’s a time and a place for that sort of song and I don’t think last night was it.

Again - not too many joined in - just a few daft lads in front of where I was as far as I could tell
