My estimation is that they are more likely to become another QPR than another Man City

I was reading about QPR's story and it sticks to me how they only managed to attract players who wanted big money and couldn't give a shit

They undoubtedly face that obstacle come January

They’ll have far, far more money to throw at it than QPR did.
Even for a five month contract they’ll effectively be able to tempt players with more money than they could have dreamt about earning.
For them the end justifies the means - money is absolutely no issue - it’s just about staying in the league however much it takes.

If money is no issue why did they end up with Beheaddie the 8th?
Why can't they get a DOF?
Why were they haggling over 200k for backroom staff?

🤔

"it's got a quick daft example of the points that you'd expect them to be happy with at the bare minimum."

Owt could happen and given they may or may not get some money grabbing mercenaries in January that could improve the team it's too early to predict who is going down. I doubt anyone on here at this precise moment would bet their house or even a decent wedge on the Mags going down plus there's 4 or 5 other shite teams around them to consider.
And yet you consistently assume the Filth will improve while none of the clubs around them will.

I wouldn’t put much faith in any of the sides around them getting points from their games in hand. They’re all down at the bottom for a reason, chances are games in hand for the other sides will be lost.

I’d love to see them relegated but all this talk of they need a miracle is just not true.
Three points adrift and a massive financial advantage over all their rivals in the transfer window.

Lot's of ifs and buts but they have played 18 and are on 10 points with 1 win. The teams above them 3 and 2 games in hand so potentially a gap of 9 points to safety.

I also do not buy into throwing money around in January. If they were going to be benevolent buyers then Howe would not be boss and their would be a high profile DoF in place now. In addition, spending massively in Jan with the sole of objection of staying up uses up all of the FFP credit that Ashley had built up and they will be hamstrung, like Everton, further down the line

They will attract players, no doubt about it, but it is very hard to integrate players into a team and it takes a lot of luck. Sam did it with us but EH's transfer record doesn't show he is capable.

Makes you wonder if every single transaction has to be signed off by MBS at the top of PIF.

Howe’s reputation was strong in the game. He’d been linked with many good jobs before taking the Mags post.
DOF is undoubtedly a harder post to fill in their position and who know’s what was happening about back room staff appointments.
Nobody can question the riches they have at their disposal now.

How can Burnley or Watford not get any points from their games in hand when their games in hand include playing each other?

If that’s the case then they’ll either get 1 each or one will get a win.
Either way come the transfer window Newcastle won’t be anything like cut adrift and the advantage they’ll have over all of their rivals is significant

If Watford win one game the mags will be 6 points adrift with a horrendous goal difference. That's a big hill to climb as Watford are more than capable of winning other games unlike the mags.

They’ll survive comfortably and then it will be heralded as the miracle of the premier league era.
The reality is they’ll be no more than 3 points adrift with access to the biggest January transfer budget ever.
We were seven points adrift in late April with Chelsea, City, Man Utd still all to play away from home and yet survived with a game to spare.
That’s a miraculous escape !
I still remain to be convinced the Saudis are going to throw Man City money at it (I’m sure she said ages ago they wouldn’t be)

They’ve helped their mate Horror Fyass get what she’s wanted for ages, they’ll spend but not mental amounts IMO
