It is but they are only 3 points from safety and are unbeaten against bottom 9.

Had they been 10 points adrift then yes they would be in trouble. As it is, they will probably spend a shit load next month to make the 3 point difference.
They could well spend a shit load and not get any better is my point. Everything they've done so far seems to be on the fly. They sacked Bruce with no real plan they then went through countless managerial targets and ended up with a manager who isn't known for defensive organisation. The dof appointment looks a rushed afterthought. Getting a team out of trouble In Jan isn't about throwing money left right and center its about getting the right players in the right positions we as Sunderland fans know that. Then there's also the fact the other teams will spend some money as well. I'm not saying they will or won't get out of it but it's certainly not a given

Liverpool v Leeds
Wolves v Watford
Norwich v Arsenal
Burnley v Everton
Mags v Man Utd (27th)

Boxing Day fixtures......haway Watford and Burnley. Leeds coulld definitely go down like they've been woeful of late, fair enough against the top teams though. Man Utd haven't played for ages they should be as fresh as can be mid season.

Imagine Ronaldo let loose against that lot

What a load of absolute bollocks . What change of culture? They are getting battered every week now, if this was Bruce they would be sending more death threats. They are getting worse under Howe and that’s a fact.

Is it 11 conceded in 3. Wtf they are on they actually look worse at the back but it seems the illusion that Ashley Bruce and Co were the problem still remains. Looking forward to Ronaldo dismantling their bac 4

Joelinton is going to continue to play more as Be-headie wants to sell him to balance the books so expect the dreadful performances to return as he notices he still gets picked anyway. Maybe they could threaten him with crucifixion at Easter if he hasn't found a club or hasn't scored a goal

Austin Maximan will be under the same scrutiny as he's another potential revenue raiser and his comments when Bruce scuttled off to his yacht suggest he was actually a Bruce loyalist. Best not mention 'the troubles' though as there's enough religious persecution with the current ownership.

Surely they can't continue to have Almiron in the same squad as two headless chickens is just too much even for the gormless caliphate end to take.

Which of the other Christmas turkeys are going to be fattened up for sale remains to be seen as I honestly can't see anyone buying Fraser or Hendrick

Amanda Slavery and the others on the murderers row committee have some interesting decisions to make, something they've struggled with so far...

The Christmas fixtures and January is likely to be a challenging period for the Al Qaeda faithful.

Perhaps they can try harder at Ramadan...

Amanda Slavery!😆😆😆😆😆

They were writing that there was evidence things were getting better under Howe

Yet excluding the fluke Burnley win they've conceded no less than three goals per game for the past three

We weren't stuck near the bottom for the start with only 1 win in our first 18 games and with the other teams around us having games in hand.
I wouldn’t put much faith in any of the sides around them getting points from their games in hand. They’re all down at the bottom for a reason, chances are games in hand for the other sides will be lost.

I’d love to see them relegated but all this talk of they need a miracle is just not true.
Three points adrift and a massive financial advantage over all their rivals in the transfer window.

No one will buy Joelinton or Almiron.
I have a feeling St. Max may leave in January, probs to France.

All we have to do is to look to finish 17th and try to catch and better any team that sits there.

It won't be easy but January will offer us a chance to bring in the required personnel to give it a right good shot.
One thing's for sure, we have to win it on merit and without any assistance from ref's which will make it 10 times harder but all the more satisfying if we do manage to upturn the pitch forkers.

My estimation is that they are more likely to become another QPR than another Man City

I was reading about QPR's story and it sticks to me how they only managed to attract players who wanted big money and couldn't give a shit

They undoubtedly face that obstacle come January

This is the worry in one respect but I think massive lessons may have been learned from that debacle. Only time will tell on this.
