Merson was a bit scathing on SS. Can't remember what he said but he blathered on about the new owners not knowing what relegation was. Though that was actually our Ellis I believe

As you know last season, 29 points would have been enough or 28 points with -25 GD or better yet 17th placed Burnley actually got 39 points so 10 more than required to stay up.

That's why if Watford, Burnley, Norwich and the Mags keep on going the way they are then it could be another sub 30 points for 18th place.

They’re gonna get mullered today.

That said, they’ll win one over Christmas that we’re not expecting.

I’d love them to sign Trippier. Good player. A massive improvement in that position.

But not at all what they need to stay up.

They need a Milner. They need a Troy Deeney. They need players capable of grabbing a game by the scruff of the neck and taking control of it.

Look, you will not likely find many fans out there that love Milner more than me and whilst he would be a great influence around the place, we need impact on the pitch. Milner is nearly 36. Sadly, he is not that anymore.

As for Deeney :lol:, Bloke is 33 and finding it very difficult to score goals in the championship. Another player who is finished although with him, he barely got started.

I have read some shite takes on here before but this is right up there.

Firstly, we have been linked to 100's of players now this is in all likelihood bollocks.

Secondly, are you trying to compare Dzeko to Deeney ffs - one is scoring regularly for a top team. The other is a plodder in the championship.
