I get what you're trying to show but I think it needs to be the 18th team as it's not always the same points as 17th or even 1 point in it. The 17th team only needs 1 point more or even 1 better GD to stay up. As you know last season, 29 points would have been enough or 28 points with -25 GD or better yet 17th placed Burnley actually got 39 points so 10 more than required to stay up.

That's why if Watford, Burnley, Norwich and the Mags keep on going the way they are then it could be another sub 30 points for 18th place.

Not too much thought though wasting time ;) Last season is possibly an outlier given the few seasons before the gap was 1 point'ish between 17th & 18th and around 33-34 points.

The replies are trying to downplay it not being breaking news whereas they'll be gutted he's not positive 😂

I bet some hoped it was a bit more rife within Man City so the game will be called off. That would mean they can play at a later date when City haven't just smashed a team 7-0 playing some of the best football in recent years. That along with the Mags possibly having new players and a 100% fit and rested Wilson and not possibly be missing ASM due to injury as he went off yesterday 🤔
