Just been told liability accepted as well...would have found it amazing if it hadn't been 👏
Don't know how relevant it is to your situation, or even similar, but i know a lad who waited 18 months, iirc, to get paid, even though the liability was admitted. Don't know if that is typical.

To be honest as the bike, amazingly, is undamaged I’m not in any rush for settlement.
All stuff damaged/ruined I’ve got others ( helmet, shades, jackets etc) so can wait.

this is what i hoping for, someone who had used them... did you get a comprehensive service? you sound like you would recommend them?

i'd nipped into the greggs at cobalt back in the summer and saw them all setup opposite and got chatting to the bloke who runs it (dave), he was telling me about what they did with schools & all that - seems like a great ethos... i was impressed with their european style cargo bike they use to get stuff moved around! :)
He used to be the mechanic at M.Steels in Gosforth. Left to set up what he’s doing now.

Today I noticed that I have passed 5200Km for this year's rides total. I accept that it's nowt special but I always think this is a significant milestone as it represents an average of 100Km a week, and is a "respectable" total in my mind. Anything less and I would hate myself, although I could live with that 😆
When I was in a club, doing a bit of TT and occasional commuting I used to pass this total without even trying but now I do none of these things and don't even currently regard cycling as my main sporting passtime I had to apply a bit of discipline through autumn to make sure I didn't fall behind schedule. However, now it's there I have a good couple of weeks where I can go on the piss and not have to ride anywhere, before it all starts again.
Is this an illness?

What kind of mileage has everyone else done this year then?
PS: that indoor nonsense doesn't count

Avg. 50 mile a week . It's been a shit cycling year . .. . . . BUT . . . . had a (initially terrifying) taster session at the Velodrome and would highly recommend that to anyone . Absolutely superb

I had a bit of an off today anarl. I was on a short section of an old airfield perimeter road where the road surface is made up of large concrete panels, getting a bit uneven now & with gaps of one or two inches between the panels in places. Lapse of concentration just leaning into a corner and front wheel dropped into one of the gaps 😮
I was reunited with that feeling where you realise there's fuck all you can do about this, which only lasts for an instant before you hit the deck 😆
That concrete is a rough surface - shredded the bar tape and tore shifter hood on one side, ripped the side out of one of my overshoes and the airfield perimeter wire fence ripped a hole in me favourite (& irreplaceable) winter jersey.
Bugger!

7500km split between outdoors and indoor nonsense ;)....pretty chuffed considering I'm away a fair bit with work.

7552kms up to today. Thats well down on last 2 years. Not doing any cycling just now, and doubt i'll be doing any before year end. I reckon the drop is due to not needing to be fit, and just enjoying my short but regular rides.

Edit. I don't count the turbo stuff either.
