Queenpins

new Amazon original
About two woman who did a way to commit 40 mill of coupon fraud

very light hearted and some
Comedy moments, based on true story.

if you fancy a quick, don’t have to think 90 mins it’s worth a bash.

Watched it last week. Absolute wank. A shame as I had zero expectations for the first film and thought it was decent rubbish.
Reversal of Fortune [1990]
7.5/10

Jeremy Irons' Oscar-winning portrayal of Claus Von Bulow, who, in real life, was convicted of poisoning his wife (Glenn Close). Ron Silver plays lawyer Alan Dershowitz who agrees to head-up his appeal.

Irons performance as the ice-cold Claus, leaves you genuinely wondering whether he is guilty or not. A goody, easy watch.

Watched after viewing old episodes of Siskel & Ebert on Youtube. Highly recommend their reviews if you're needing inspiration for something to watch.

No, mate. I should be able to find in the usual places. Cheers

The Little Things.

The Equalizer teams up with Freddie Mercury to track down a 1990s LA serial Killer.

Decent 7/10.
Derailed - Clive Owen & Jennifer Aniston.

Very good thriller... 7.5/10

Arctic
Starring Madds Mikkelson.

Man finds himself alone after crashing his plane in the Arctic. What follows is a really excellent survival story.

Very much recommended and a solid 3.5/4 from Mux.

Available for free on Amazon Prime.
Watched it earlier in the year and really enjoyed it. Mind, who wouldn't enjoy watching Mads wrestle a polar bear.

Last night we watched

Dont breathe 2

We liked the first one so it seemed obvious to watch the second. No 2 wasn't very good, story a lot less believable and it just relied on unnecessary brutal violence.

Candyman 2021
5/10
Constantly going on about race and racist white people and cops. The film itself isn't too bad but not a patch on the original, which i remember was pretty scary at the time

Available for free on Amazon Prime.
? Amazon Prime isn't free.

The Conversation on bbc4 - Brilliant movie. Gene Hackman and Fredo.
On a side note, it's amazing what tech they had 50 years ago, makes me think what spies are using now for surviellance must be beyond what we can imagine.
9/10

Never heard of this one - is it on iplayer?

Last Duel (Disney Plus)

Slagged off by Kermode and Mayo but I quite liked it. Wish they hadnt had A listers in the main roles though - could only see Ben Affleck and Matt Damon as themselves and not their characters. Accents were canny iffy as well. Come to think of it maybe it wasnt that good.

I saw the trailer and Affleck looked ridiculous so it put me off, but I've heard it's good.

I know, but with your subscription you get 'free' content or there is content you can pay extra for.

Included in the subscription is what I meant... pedant! ;)

Yes. Written and directed by Francis Ford Coppola. Another of those great paranoid 70's thrillers.

Gene Hackman plays a surveillance expert/spy for hire who gets caught up in a possible murder. The character Hackman plays in Enemy of the Sate is loosely based on this.
