I might well be be a tedious knacker, but all I am trying to do this to dispel the myth that’s been peddled by certain people about the reason why Brian Clough left Sunderland .He was given a free transfer on April 29th1965 Where he had spend the last 6 mouths running the youth team.In the summer of 65 used to see him regularly playing tennis in Barnes Park

According to the NE journalists he was the the number one target for them.
They only started to look at others when it was clear he wouldn't leave Everton.

I post stats on twitter about gaps/historical points/stats....like I sometimes post on here. The replies from mags is incredible and you wonder if they watched them this season! I have often said they are the least knowledgeable of all football fans and I would fancy my chances in any football quiz against them. Many of them don't even know their own's club history.

And this ladies and gentlemen is the exact reason Newcastle fans do themselves absolutely no favours when it come to them being a laughing stock.

Northumbria water really do have a lot to answer for as they obviously put some kind of weird deluded chemical shite in the water on Tyneside

He coached the youth team until October 1965 until he moved in management at Harltlepools as it was known back then.
He wasn't sacked by SAFC as has previously been stated.
Now get back in your box and bore off to your own board.

eg His failure was brought on by his hubris.

They’ve told that many lies about the club they can no longer tell fact from fiction. The two aren’t mutually exclusive in the caliphate.
