Anyone who has a dig at Newcastle is in a position to slag them off . I particularly liked this response he has a point. They claimed poverty a few months ago saying they needed the takeover for the area, now they are claiming it’s Miami.

Arthur is a great twitter "poster"..very witty. Guess he posts on here.

It is pointless arguing with them. The average prem wage is 76k p/w and life has moved on tremendously since Keith Gillespie was playing and even Jamie O'Hara. I simply cannot comprehend what the wants and desires of a young 20 something are when he is on that money.

Probably the things the mags can't give

London or Manchester area
Top squad capable of winning trophies
A long term plan to keep doing so
Not being bottom of the league winnless and hopeless
Not having a bunch of psychos using the club to look less like a bunch of madmen

There's still a feeling among some people that Newcastle are spawny and always come up smelling of roses, I really don't get it tbh.

They've failed to win a major trophy in 60 years despite reaching cup finals, been knocked out by a series of little clubs, lost the play-off's at home to Sunderland, blew a massive lead to win the title, lost a record breaking 6 consecutive derbies, have been relegated twice and are on their way to a hat trick as the most despised club in the league.

Remind me why they're lucky again ....

I think of it as this. I’m 41 and have never seen the mags win anything. This takeover won’t mean they will win the league (unless it’s the championship) as it’s not the 90s anymore. In those 41 years I would’ve expected them to win the odd cup (us an all actually) so if the takeover gets them a league cup here and there I’ll take it.

On a separate note (mods) it’s shocking what happened to Exile mind. The amount of WUM on here and it’s always us who gets the bans.

I think its historical. I think that Pardew season and the seasons when we were shite they just got ridiculous spawny decisions and seemed to score late loads etc.

Even when they were in the Championship they seemed to scrape big results at key times

And command stupidly high transfer fees for mediocre players
