Parking charges

Just received a letter from parking eye with a parking charge notice, guess the 1st of many. I am exempt from paying for parking while I am having chemotherapy, but of course you can’t phone to complain you have do it in writing.

If it’s Sunderland go to the security office and ask them.

Might be too late for this one mind.
It’s north tees and the form I submitted to security for exemption was before this parking charge.

It’s a hassle I could do with out to be honest.

TBF, in my experience if you’ve got the evidence (letter of exemption etc.) then PE are no bother. Hoy it all on the online portal and await their decision in a few months time. It will be in your favour if it’s the hospital who haven’t uploaded the form etc.

In the meantime the fine goes on hold.

No one should have to pay to park at a hospital
It’s a complete scam

should everyone have their petrol or bus fare paid anarl? If you can afford a car you can pay to park it, I don’t get it how people expect to dump their vehicle on property that they don’t own for free. OP who is attending regular is getting it free in recognition of that. The NHS could say sod you all and sell the land to a developer to raise funds.

Like dumping your car at an out of town retail park for free that you choose to visit
Very few people are choosing to visit a hospital for a day out
It’s a captive audience
Clement Attlee to blame

Difficult one as hospitals which are close to city centres will have shoppers filling their spaces.
The op should have their charges waived under the circumstances, however having free parking for everybody will cause a lot of problems.

Biggest con known to man having to pay to park your car like , you pay road tax, council tax etc etc, a huge reason the high street is dead on its arse is due to greedy car parking charges from councils .

errr the out of town retail park gives it “free” because you are going to be spending money there. If the NHS made parking free they would need to make service cuts just to appease gammons who resent paying a few quid to park once in a while.

Indeed. I had to pay £1.75 to leave my car in Durham today whilst I got a covid test, I was parked for about 15 minutes.
