It's true about Robson having abuse and yes probably spat at sjp 1982 not long after Keegan signed and the then England manager dropped Keegan and never told him face to face

I will also admit most people thought he should step down when and I would say it again he needed to get put the game

I also remember Sunderland fans doing the same to Bob Stokoe a few years after the 73 cup win. Yet he has a statue. So I am not brandishing all Sunderland fans the same but it happened. Poor Bob got it again when he took the rap after Lawrie Mac buggered off too. Just saying bricks in glass houses like
Whatabout your new lords and masters cutting people’s heeds off? Or sawing people into pieces. Whatabout that?

I will believe sir bobby's versions of events me, seen enough gob shite mags on here over the years to know your all full of shite. Spat on hounded out but we built a statue ya narrrr!

They shamelessly built a statue of him for one reason only. To derive the spotlight/recognition from his past achievements and standing in the game, for their own neediness.
I’d be surprised if there was another football club on earth who built a statue for an ex-manager/player who didn’t actually achieve anything whilst there. In reality, Newcastle is merely a footnote in his otherwise successful career.

Well said mate, the Saudis can learn a lot of the mags in terms of rewriting history. They deserve each other. Hounded out of the club he loved the only mistake he made was choosing them as a child.

Absolute bullshit regarding Stokoe. Rewrite your own history but not ours.

They did their homework before buying the mags. They knew exactly what they were doing.

They had options of clubs with higher profile, better potential ROI, teams in European cups, clubs that don’t need as much initial investment etc. They knew what they’d get with the scum supporters.

Bob got no abuse after Lawrie Mac left the damage was already done by the time he took over and everyone understood that.

Which is why Rafa has near-demigod status with them despite a very ordinary record

Just a matter of time before there’s a giant Bouncy smiling down on Sid James’s like a bronze Mr Blobby

I have others. But, alas, not printable.
A mag talking shit what a surprise
They’re all little teapots short and stout, open their mouths and shit pours out.

Just noticed how much Malcom Macdonald looks like Fred west.
Wasn't McDonald boasting about how many goals he was going to score?
