For some reason I decided to watch all of the Fast & Furious movies, having only ever seen the first 2 when the came out 20 years ago. F**k me they were abysmal.
I couldn't believe how s**t the scripts, acting and direction were. I kept watching them all just to see if they would get any better but they just became more and more laughable.
I'm not being a snob about action movies - I love a good one - these were/are pathetically bad.
How the f**k have they grossed $6.5 billion.

The Fast and the Furious 4/10
2 Fast 2 Furious 2/10
Tokyo Drift 2/10
Fast & Furious 3/10
Fast Five 3/10
Fast & Furious 6 2/10
Furious 7 3/10
The Fate of the Furious 4/10
Hobbs & Shaw 5/10
F9 1/10
its just car porn. They're incredibly silly too. I like them but its most definitely leave your brain at the door fare

Just watched Shoplifters Of The World.

Set in 1987 about a group of outsider-teenagers and the night they find out that The Smiths have broken up. One of them takes the local hard rock radio station hostage at gun point forcing the dj to play Smiths songs all through the night. While at the same time the group of teenagers go partying thinking that their world has or is about to end. It is strangely uplifting though I feel my yearly quota of Morressey has been spent in the last ninety minutes.

Last Night in Soho 6/10
Enjoyed the first half, disliked the second (a lot).

Zack Snyder's Justice League 7.5/10
Hated the original, liked this.

"Stoker", disturbing thriller with a twist
A Tony/Ridley Scott production
A thriller starring Nicole Kidman, Dermot Mulrooney, Matthew Goode, Mia Wasikowska

Benedetta [2021] 7/10
Dir. Paul Verhoeven
Set in 17th century, plague-ravaged Tuscany, Benedetta Carlini joins the convent. Capable of performing miracles, is she a saint or a sinner?

Kept me engaged and not just because of the graphic lesbian nun sex involving Virginie Efira. 😍

Venom let there be Carnage.

Watchable chod, 3/10.

Like a TV movie. I'm not really sure who the intended audience is, a bit too scary for kids and a bit pap for almost everyone else.

Where did you catch that? I love Verhoeven.

Watched it last week. Absolute wank. A shame as I had zero expectations for the first film and thought it was decent rubbish.
Reversal of Fortune [1990]
7.5/10

Jeremy Irons' Oscar-winning portrayal of Claus Von Bulow, who, in real life, was convicted of poisoning his wife (Glenn Close). Ron Silver plays lawyer Alan Dershowitz who agrees to head-up his appeal.

Irons performance as the ice-cold Claus, leaves you genuinely wondering whether he is guilty or not. A goody, easy watch.

Watched after viewing old episodes of Siskel & Ebert on Youtube. Highly recommend their reviews if you're needing inspiration for something to watch.
