They want a profit, will sell up in about 4 year with a good bit of infrastructure in place for a buyer
Genuine question but how do they do that? Chuck money at it as in speculate to accumulate? Ellis short showed that doesn’t work if you don’t have the right people in place. Or be more frugal like Ashley? that won’t go down well with those who think posh Spice is going to be washing the strips.

They have their club back man and if twitter is an indicator not bothered about relegation. If he plays a team that tries it will be hunky dory.
January will be a sight to behold if they don’t spend big. It doesn’t matter who on as long as it’s more than anyone else.
wah just paid 90 million for Accrington Stanley’s left back. 90million tha knaars hah beat that

Looking at the fixtures it looks like they will be bottom 3 when the Jan window opens,
If they were mid table they would struggle to compete with the big 5 for big signings, so if they are bottom 3 when the window opens they are going to have to pay big big bucks for money mercenaries ,and if the rumours are true that they only have around 50 million to spend this window ,they are fked.

IF IF IF IF IF IF
🤣🤣🤣
As a wise man always said to me “IF is the biggest word in football pet”

You're right, you don't win football matches on if's and but's.
We are bottom because we didn't win enough games or better those above us. As simple as that.

I’m no expert but I believe given it’s financial position the purchase was a good deal - which was all down to how Ashley managed it. The one thing he didn’t really improve was revenue outside of premier league money. If they make good strides in that and keep them or get them back in the premier league then in 2 or 3 years they can probably make 100 or 200 million profit.
The fact that they are still chasing down Inter looks like that is their plan. Inter are much easier to use for sports washing.
@Grumpy Old Man might be able to confirm the financial position and value of the asset (or should that be arse-sets).

You and I are on the same wave length. I forget who posted it on here but someone said they will go from paying 40m for Joe Linton to paying 60m for him.

It being Newcastle makes it more interesting but this is fascinating to watch and if they do go down it will make a fantastic documentary.

For the Saudis, the amount involved is like you or me finding a couple of quid down the back of the sofa.

Potentially the Mags are worth at least twice what they've paid.

I've not set a foot inside SJP since NYE 1985! But "theoretically" it should be rocking for a bottom of the table game on a Tuesday night with everyone with a few pints inside them?
Atmosphere was very good yesterday tbf and the gage was enjoyable. We will go down mist if the lads I go to match with agree. But we should go straight back up which would not have happened under Ashley.
