I don’t think many would argue, especially not hypocritical Mag fans who berated and criticised him under previous managers/ owners but, who under a new manager employed by murderous owners suddenly want to build the team around him.

And because they are so desperate to believe Howe is the answer, they also believe Shelvey is too.

Yeah, I reckon if anything it'll be a short term measure.

In that regard, Howe's job there mirrors start at Bournemouth, new owners, questionable squad, need to get away from the trap door. Every chance he gets to January 1 and pies him off to West Ham (amazed he hasn't played there already tbh).
