Cases today

Same old disgusting comments. It seems while i was banned nothing on here has changed.

What's pathetic is the SMBs denial about how bad things are and are going to get

you are an embarrassment. can't post the stats quick enough when the cases are over 40k. the term 'it's over' is in relation to living with covid instead of restrictions and lockdown and you know it

People cant wait to post when the cases are low but cant face fact when cases are going sky high. And the term "it's over" has been mentioned several times on here saying that it is actually over when clearly it isnt.

do they? it's normally the lambton worm posting daily stats. it is over. we've got a vaccine and there's nothing else we can do about it

Since 14/09 (one calendar month ago), daily cases have broken the 40K barrier 5 or 6 times - two of those times by less than 1K.

The rest of the time they've been in the mid-30K range, often dropping below 30K.

I wouldn't call those numbers 'sky high', nor is there any evidence yet to say it's going to get 'awful'. If it stays in the plus-40k range for the next week or so then it can be argued it's getting worse, but to use a two-day jump amongst a largely static group of figures as definitive evidence of bad things to come is premature to say the least.

It's the use of that type of hyperbole and/or rhetoric that fuels anxiety and I struggle to comprehend the motivation behind such assertations.

I do find it a bit worrying when you compare how we're doing compared to other countries.

Our families have been double vaccinated and all of us are going to get the booster in the near future. This will be over soon.
It's time to let our hair down and go about our normal business again.

You're correct but the numbers are much smaller - obesity generally weaker more unhealthy population? I don't know its odd tbf
My own view is that its got nothing to do with population characteristics and everything to do with binning off all mitigations. Those European countries still have masks on public transport, in shops etc.

Haven't most European countries vaccinated from 12+ right from the get go?

Fair comment. I wouldnt cite masks personally but a more educated, responsible, inclusive, cohesive sense of community.

Noone here gives a fk as long as they're OK. I blame Thatcher...

Less fuckwits than in the UK? Could be something in that. We did vote for Brexit and the Tories after all.

You are. You’re worried about the virus (rightly), but won’t take a vaccine because it’s not 100% effective, despite it helping

you’re the very definition of martyr

Well I'm not getting into a debate about vaccines as it got me banned for a month.

And I'm nothing at all. Just a person talking on a message board like yourself
