Post a pic of your axe

I've done the baking soda / superglue trick , really straightforward ,mask both sides obviously and have a couple of good files .
Worst case senario if you fail take it to your guitar tech.
Exactly, plus you learn how to maintain your instruments, I've done plenty of little jobs like this over the years, I have a 1970 Epiphone acoustic, it had a bowed top, that made it unplayable, (a common fault) I left it in a case for years, then I discovered a device called a bridge doctor, bought it, installed it, shimmed the neck, and it's playable now, brought it back to life, lovely tone too, records beautifully.

Can the bridge doctor fix positive (convex) and negative (concave) bows or just one of them? I have been watching a couple of very cheap decent guitars but shied away because of bowed tops.

I wouldn't think so, mate, but Google it, they might have something that does, however, I would have thought new stronger bracing would sort it out.

I’ve just spoken to my guitar tech as I have broken the clip on the battery compartment on my acoustic bass. It’s an older instrument and the importer no longer carries spares. I’m thinking I am going to need a new preamp and control unit plus pickup and he said “just put a bit of tape over it.”

done that and it’s fine - I’m in the money!

Did you get your gear back from the lad that nicked it or did you have to pay for new stuff?
If the latter I hope the insurance came through and you didn’t have to fork out for it yourself.

Not me mate I have completely different but much more crap band issues not gear. I’ve had gear issues in the past.

Ah Ok - nice one marra.
Get your pics up then, let’s see what you’re playing with.
What’s the name of your band?
Are you back to gigging after the lockdown?
Tough time for live musicians lately - hope they all bounce back.

Bought a lovely Japanese made Geddy lee fender jazz last night at a great price . 2004 with a light playing marks
I had the Usa version and it was too pristine and i couldn't get it set up to suit me so it went .This one feels great to play and quite sought after as the new ones are Mexican made
pics may follow if i can work out how
Got a bass from Scotland, it was a Fife string one. I usually play six string, but I fancied playing in Alloa register.
Is the Jock plug okay ?
