F1 2021

What's the source on this? Haven't seen it from anywhere else.
Sky Sports F1 is reporting it but he isn’t taking a penalty. All they said is they’d see how the season is panning out before making any such decision.

This...a non story really, just saying they can't rule it out at this stage.

i would imagine mexico would be favorite for a circuit you'd take the hit at, if merc had to.

i presume the change at the weekend was a half-way house change, until they get to somewhere they've no chance of winning so can start from the back in comfort?

Max will win in Mexico

They can't all have issues adapting to his style? Surely?
i can't remember if i read or heard someone discussing this, but in summary the answer was yes. i think max is unbelievably capable of driving it on the ragged edge 100% in all conditions. i don't recall what they said the characteristics were, but that its not something you just 'pick up'... i think it was mentioned in the same line as ricciardo struggling with the mclaren's brakes, that it needs confidence in the machine and its the same with the 2nd red bull.

Max prefers a very loose rear. So anyone else who prefers a neutral car, or even an understeering one will need to adapt their driving style.

What was particularly apparent last season but less so this season, although still there. Is that Max makes so many more steering inputs to get round a corner than other drivers. If you think back to Perez in the McLaren and Racing Point he was very conservative with the car. His driving style doesn’t suit the Red Bull.

If you look at slow and medium speed corners the Red Bull looks a little Skittish. Again last season it was very noticeable. It looks like it’s been tamed for this season which has no doubt helped improve the pace.

Why would they want to drive in F1 when other disciples like GTs, Touring Cars and Sportscars give a guaranteed place? For as long as they do they will never think about F1.
They’ll want to drive in F1 just like almost every other driver. It’s the pinnacle or motorsport, regardless of some people’s differing opinions. Every driver wants to test themselves and strive to compete with the best.
