They won 5 of their last 8 games last season, only dropping points when they lost to Man City & Arsenal and drew with Liverpool. Aye they've had a bad start this season but missing the main striker and keeper doesn't help for starters. The lack of 'new' players also doesn't help yet most Mags are going way back to say 7 wins in 37 games as a stick to beat him with.As the skunk said earlier in the thread, they're a top 12 club, if Bruce can achieve such feats with no money, imagine what he can do with a sizeable budget?
Even with that shit winless run last season (I'm sure Wilson and ASM were missing for some of the games also) they ended up 12th which was the best of the bottom bunch. It was Leeds, Everton, West Ham, Leicester and Aston Villa along with the big 6 who finished above them. At the start of the last season, where would they have expected to finish given the resources Bruce had. At most you'd have said maybe above Villa but even they had a decent season last season.
