I'm not defending anyone. I'm calling out people who take the moral high ground but then support the very same regime through other means.
In for a penny or in for a pound, it all amounts to the same.
The issue is not about financially supporting the regime, they hardly need the money, it's about legitimising them. That's the core difference between what's happening at Newcastle and their minority investments in Disney, Twitter, Uber or whatever it is you're trying to throw at people.

It's a ridiculous argument and the fact it's all Newcastle fans have to try and justify their support of a despotic, murderous regime speaks volumes.

I'm not talking about yourself, I'm talking about you're clubs fans in general.

I admire the fact that you'd walk away, that would be hard to do from something that's undoubtedly in you're blood.
I can only speak for myself. I hope there would be a majority backlash but I can't influence every other SAFC fan, I suspect.

Edit: I wouldn't need admiration for walking away, my conscience couldn't allow me to turn a blind eye to the obvious.

I'm not saying anything's right. I'm merely arguing points made about people taking moral high ground and spewing hatred over something which has happened and cannot be undone unless government intervention or FA or the city of Newcastle decides to shut down and close their eyes to the cathedral on the hill.

If none of that happens then Newcastle United will be playing football with a stadium full of fans and many more excitedly watching it on TV or listening on a radio, amid that hatred.

Subjective morals is what it is with most.

So maybe thats the problem, to carry on going / supporting and wearing f***ing tea towels on their heads shows the fans (obviously not all) either don’t know or don’t care about your new owners. That’s your / their choice, but if you choose to ignore it then don’t be surprised that others will criticise.

I can honestly say if it was SAFC in this position right now, i’d walk away and want nothing to do with them. Maybe i’m a minority, but suspect not

Challenge them?
You're free to challenge in terms of voicing your opinion, just like you're doing with me.
The point being made is, if you invest in the very same thing as the evil dictators or simply evil people you despise, whether they have 0.00000001% stake or 100% stake. You become a hypocrite for taking the moral high ground because it is subjective.
You are crackers you like.

I walked away a couple of years ago over the state of football in general - this would have completely severed my relationship with SAFC to the point where I wouldn’t even check the scores.

Newcastle fans have always needed assurances from others that they are relevant. They can't enjoy this takeover without the assurance that we are jealous or other clubs are envious. They are a different psyche to Milwall and the no-one likes us mantra. That is what brings them here - they returned in droves to rub it in, but there are no green eyed monsters here, hence the Disney bollocks, to try and get us to be envious in some way. It isn't working at all. Enjoying having your club back.

f***ing hell. zero hours contracts versus kidnap, murder and dismemberment?

It's a belter, a bit long by now, but pick, a page, any page and start from there
Just had a quick browse. His stuff looks suspiciously like a lad who used to post on toontastic, but was soon peddled. If it is the same lad he thought the people who said there's relatives died in 9/11 and 7/7 were all actors and nothing actually happened and it's all a big conspiracy.

When anyone calmly explained that water will adhere to a surface, he ignored it, whenever anyone explained you can observe the ISS with a pair of binoculars he laughed it off, and if you asked him to explain how he could prove to his 'denpressure' idea he backed off into 'it's just my opinion, I'm not saying I'm 100% right.'.

If it is the same bloke he's a f***ing danger.

My first thought was how they’ve flushed so much history down the shitter and been willing participants in it. That’s how I would feel if it was my club.

I understand that, like any fan cant take the ownership for whatever views fans of their club have.

As I've said previously I work for Saudi, I'm Jewish, imagine the conflicts in my mind I've always had. Now they own my club am I happy no, am I sad no, I'm just indifferent, glad that Ashley's gone.

Exactly. It has nothing to do with football. Nobody was bothered and how everyone is up in arms. Your average football fan just wants their team to be the best it can be, and that's the number one priority.

Di Canio was a well known fascist. However that doesn't stop him being my most favourite manager here since Reid (Well maybe joint with Keano) and it certainly didn't sour the moment for me when he was sliding on his knees when we slapping the mags about on their own patch. I wasn't thinking I can't enjoy this like I should be because he's a fascist!

As a football fan, off the field activities don't interest me in the slightest. It's simply just about the football to me.
You don’t care about children being massacred. But you care about football.

not being rude fella but seek help. You’re possibly borderline psychopath.

On the contrary mate.

"blades on faces" is an inspired piece of rhyming.
Thank You:
