If the Saudi Arabian government offered to buy your house tomorrow,at twice it’s value ,would you sell it?
If they’d offered that deal 3 years ago would you have accepted it?

There are some powerful people involved with the likes of Amnesty International and they can make trouble in some rather subtle ways.

The new bits were built on the cheap and they are deteriorating quickly. Probably cheaper long term than trying to fix it up and make it bigger. I’m sure the Reubens agree. They can rebuild the ground at corbridge.

The difference being the press absolutely berated our appointment of PDC who, incidentally as far as I recall, hadn’t ordered and carried out murder.
Yet the same press that vilified us for appointing PDC are creaming themselves over a takeover by a murderous regime.

Anyway Say what you want but Sunderland fans would have loved them trips. Some of the home games were against teams most hadn't heard of too but the away trips will be what's remembered even the ones when only 100 went to the ukraine etc But these were the rules and everyone knew them.

Going back to the money. I'd rather have spent it and had a go than not. The signings we're exciting times if you think not then sorry like but you must be a miserable person and I am not sure apart from beating Newcastle must make you smile. I don't see the point in supporting a team if you can't get happy over some of the things that happened in that spell for nufc then I fear for you. Trying to rewrite history and say they were not good times I suppose is your view but it's referenced as positive so many times on here as success to make safc long suffering supporters much more loyal appreciative and if you had been through what we have. If we had had European nights etc

The 90 period was generally good if nufc were not in the top 6 then either in Europe or on long cup runs. Would not swap it. It's been said that football for Newcastle was 92 onwards so is it success or not

Regarding Blackburn it's categorically one of the worst comparisons I've ever seen I have no idea what Blackburn's fans think but your I LL bow to your superior knowledge

And I'm not sure SAFC fans went goosestepping down Roker Avenue giving fascist salutes when PDC was appointed, unlike our friends up the road who are waving the Saudi flag about whilst wearing tea towels on their heads in respect of their new lovely owners.
