No replies to the Arsenal fans response that i posted i see, maybe it's too much to debate ?

It's obviously addressed to other Arsenal fans so the context is a bit skewed. But Newcastle fans are being held to higher standards because it's what they've traded on for years. They were the special Geordie nation, yadda yadda, who just wanted a bond with their club and city. I'm getting a sense of surprise from fans of clubs from across the country about how obsequious they suddenly are to being sold out to despots.

I sympathise with Newcastle fans who are conflicted about this. I don't appreciate this being written off as jealousy because believe me, I know that if it was us I would stop attending. As I said elsewhere, I'm under no illusions that many wouldn't feel the same way.

Well, i loved the craic on this forum, especially the gambling forum, i read the cheltenham thread a year ago and wanted to join in, despite not being a Sunderland fan, i joined just before this years festival.
I've never once made on i was a Sunderland fan btw..i just related it to my team.

The smb forum has had me in stitches for years, it's the best football forum by a mile.
I love reading it. About 5 or 6 years ago a mate told me about this place and a thread ( dog related) Funny as fuck btw.
I have had some really nice responses to some of my posts, some meant a lot to me. I've also had some really good advice and help from people here. What can i say..I liked it.

The obsession with NUFC here is beyond ridiculous, i post as i feel, don't care if most disagree.

And this is why most of the decent minded football fans across the country have a bit of an issue with it all and your support. You just cant see it. You've been taken over by someone who orders kids to be starved, his own people to be tortured, journalists to be dismembered and all you can come out with is we're jealous. We’ve still got our identity (a brilliant one with KLD running the place actually) and are reconnecting with our support whilst maintaining the working class traditions the club we’re founded on.

Not going to lie it's been a bit sickening this week thinking about where this might take them in football terms. But then you see them rushing out the house with towels on their heads brandishing Saudi Arabia flags and realise this is just going to be one more, long exercise in them totally embarassing themselves yet again.

Just read that statement from the newcastle MP Chi whatever - "themag" calling her the MP for St James's Park as if it was its own constituency. Cant believe she is pandering to them, she does not get the utter hyoerbole she is spouting even if it wrapped up nicely. To then deflect human rights by bringing up the twenty quid universal credit thing (right at the very end) is 'whatabouterism' at its finest. The woman is a total hypocrite, Ashleigh was the devil in disguise but the gist of what she said was working with the new owners will bring about change - she knows it will only continue to 'sportwash' the attrocities in the KSA.
