Their main fanzine seem to have taken a very sensible stance in their editorial.

Moral outrage (mock or otherwise) aside the main point is that football fans do not get to choose their owners. Fair comment.
It’s not really a fair comment though mate. They campaigned for years to get Ashley out, they resorted to using the way he treated his staff as a lever for this. Yet they welcome this regime. It’s rank hypocrisy.

Anybody think, if Newcastle are in Premier League next season, they'll join forces with Liverpool/Man Utd and push for European Super League

So its the UK Government that has forced this through and is meddling with our national game
But but the premier league are corrupt
No Newcastle Saudis and Johnson’s government are corrupt

I think this needs an enquiry not why Saudis pulled out 6 months ago
How many brown envelopes were passed around to get this through
It stinks

The government says it did not get involved in the deal, which has been criticised by human rights activists.
But the Foreign Office is known to have held meetings with the Premier League to discuss it

And here's me thinking the foreign office were part of the Government

You'll need to narrow it down. It's talksport

Oh. What's this ?

@Millar_Colin: Newcastle's new prominent board member Jamie Reuben was Committee Chairman of Boris Johnson's London Mayoral campaign and has donated £100ks to the Conservative Party. The same party are now blocking details of the meetings that saw Reuben elevated into his new role.

As much as I agree with this, I'd like to point out that the majority of countries that criminalise homosexuality are in a certain continent, so in the interests of consistency, we'll be boycotting any player that chooses to represent those nations?

Although I accept that playing for a country is a world of difference between being a Crown Prince of one!
I’m sure the Newcastle LGBT group despise the countries that criminalise anyone’s sexuality and are vociferous in their condemnation at every available opportunity. But selectively it seems.

Definitely, that is the long term plan. The Saudi’s actually wanted to be involved with raising capital for the ESL according to some Financial Times journo
