Even that glistening turd Nicky Campbell was pandering to the old clichés this morning on FiveLive with some git from True Faith - about how the jordie nashun deserves this after the Ashley error (era) and 14 years of poor management and ownership. The TF gonk was lapping it up predictably enough.

They will definatley get relegated again this year wont they.

All the current squad will ease off as they will think they are on the way out, clubs will double asking prices in the January window.

Their last 5 games are horrific.

A stable situation under Ashley would have kept them up, but this will have a right negative effect on their squad.
Theres straw clutching, but that takes in to a whole new level - congratulations!

I guess their logic is the bottle of Corona sort of cancels it out...

I get the argument that financial fair play means they can't do another Man City but these blokes have just paid a billion dollars to cover up a piracy issue.

If they break financial fair play rules what are the premier league going to do? Fine them? They could lose 500 million as if it were 50p

For me, this is the sad reality of the takeover. The Wear/Tyne derby as we know it will be no more, reduced to Sunderland v State of Saudi.

One good thing though, how can they ever truly celebrate beating us again, but oh how we can take the piss when little old Sunderland win against the ‘richest club in the world’.....
We have got a Swiss owner waiting for his own pile of money. The localism of the clubs has long disappeared, except for the fans. Some folk are already developing an inferiority complex. Wish we had a game to give people something other than the Beheader's 11 to rant about.

I wish these closet mags would just be honest. One look at their posting history is all it takes. Years between posts, only showing up in negative Sunderland/Pro Newcastle threads. An obsession with "being realistic", always selling us short, lowering expectations

I'm pretty sure City and PSG proved recently that FFP means fuck all.

That'll be the make up of the NUFC first team squad once Sheikh Slaughter-Bin-Murder has pumped his dirty cash in, mind.
A club too closely identified with another country that isn't overly popular with the angry woke mob. As I said, its going to be amusing to watch this unravel and maybe its time I put aside my evil tory crap hat and don the beret of wokeassdom.

Id put my mortgage in them not going down this year. Unfortunately.
