I work in a office near sid James and the whoppers are out in force.

Geordie boys, taking over the world

Apparently
I also had the pleasure of staring out of an office window at their ground for years and listening their complete guff. It got better as derby results began shift the other way.

Match days they'd fill the streets a few floors below and it was like something out of Lord of the Rings looking down from the battlements as the armies of orcs gathered below.

This is also the caption that will destroy the majority of their fans if the new owners don't go out and spend billions in the next couple of years.

They will expect them to compete with real Madrid and psg now. I can see this getting very messy if this doesn't happen

Exactly. Looking at twitter they are setting themselves up for huge disappointment. They are masturbating profusely.

100% I would mate. And I reckon the majority of fans would too.
Initially, for fans of clubs like Newcastle, Sunderland and definitely the owls, the thought of a rich owner coming in is exciting, yes I see that... Success starved supporters want to see their teams win shite....

Thing is, the novelty will soon wear off, and eventually you will get enraged seeing your club spend millions on complete trash who don't give a flying fuck.

It's not for me.

They need to spend probably £200m to get top 8, probably. There'll be toys aaarrrll oooooowaaaarrr St James Boulevard if they don't

From what I’d seen I thought they were gonna split investment in the first 4 years so it was gonna be 50 mill into playing squad and 50 mill into infrastructure. I don’t think they’ll be near what Man City have done with their set up. God knows where that’s came from. People kept mentioning them in reply to me and I’ve never mentioned them once

I just see trouble down the line for us in terms of recruiting and retaining young players from the region. To be honest I’m massively negative about us anyways with Donald & Methven as shareholders into the club. I don’t even watch the games when we’re not at home & only go to home games to take my Dad as he likes to go and we’ve had season tickets since the early 2000s. All I’m gonna say on this thread anyways. I’m more negative about us and what we’ve lost compared to positive about the mags. Just done with Donald and Methven turning up to the games I think!
I hadn't seen that. Slightly disappointing to hear. Still along way to go and I believe we can remain competitive by differentiating ourselves from the rest as we're already looking to do. Our whole club is going to be geared up around the Academy, that's not going to be true of Newcastle as they'll have more short term goals that they will want to satisfy.

I'm really late to the discussion as I just sat back and read all the crap posted.
Have I missed something as the BBC state that PIF are separate to the State however their chairman is The Crown Prince? How does that work?

Are the BBC stating that or saying that that's what the Premier League are saying they've been given assurances on?
