Mid table side. Mid range spend. They've got fuck all to complain about.
What, even if your squad is exactly the same as last season, but another year older and going backwards? A squad that only survived late on due to an unexpected flurry from Willock that is unlikely to happen again. A side with one point from 3 games (and a lucky point) at that. Out of the league Cup after a home tie. I mean rivalry aside you surely can't claim its a good transfer window.

Tin pot cup that’s what you lot called it when we got to final so that exit mustn’t have bothered a Mag ???

So what if the positive stuff doesn't get repeated, but the negative stuff all does?

My point is you've spent pretty much in line with your standing. Your fans were desperate for Willock back, and that's what you've got. That took up your transfer spend which was reasonable compared to both others and your finishing position last year.

Depends what you've spent it on. It's not resting in your bank account, is it?

NUFC borrowed millions from the bank, that money was used by the previous owners, Ashley took on that debt, NUFC owe Ashley the money.

This is some finely refined logic.

Jesus wept.
You still on here man 😂 😂 😂

Yes but as a fan it's okay to worry that we are standing still and want more? Why is it not okay to want us to improve? In fact our squad being the same means we are weaker as other squads improve. So our standing won't last long if we continue to stand still both on and off the pitch.

Your squad was decent second half the season with Willock in the team and you’ve invested a lot of money into signing him. Also got Wilson & ASM back fit.

But who has improved since last year? Palace net spend of 64m but that is made up of the Celtic player, who could go either way, a kid who didn't make it at Chelsea and some kid from Ajax. They also let go of 13 players.

It wasn't a great window but you have a good 1st 11 and more positively for you (not me) there are some absolutely woeful teams in the league. Mike isn't a bed wetter or knee jerker and has sufficient thick skin to suffer the whinging fron the fans. If you had spent 64m on those players you would have backup for Wilson/ASM but the others likely wouldn't get in the side. You would be marginally better for spending 64m + salaries of likely 3 x 4 x 52 x 50k = 31.2m. To make a big impact, you would need to spend like Everton, and that got them nowhere.

Until the Big 6 dissappear and fans become the largest income stream then football for the non-top 6 is fecked. There will always be anomalies, like Leicester, but in the long term the top 6 will dominate.

I think the reason that only the minority "protest" and fans still go is that they realise deep down, shite as it is, they could be worse off.

Fans are angry ! Angrier than they’ve been for a while !
They are reaching out to us !
What’s making them more angry than what has made them angry for the last few seasons ?
How angry are they now compared to how angry they were when Rafa left. How angry are they compared to being relegated recently ?
How is this extra anger measured ?
😡😡😂😂😂😂
Ragging mate. Abserlootely fumming

But it's all about net spend as you lot keep telling us.
Nothing else matters.

Was easily correct that one. Someone on the morning of the game had got it bang on checking the seating deck same as your fans do. It's easier doing ours as you just subtract off the 52k while you lot have to add effing thousand of red seats on. Thousands ov em thousands. Noo here noonhere like we've the best fans in Englund sunlind like their sooooper ahhhhh your not even the best fans in county Durham it's Gill for Gillingham and the 1000 that were mags see my profile
Did you just have a mental breakdown half way through a post?

But 11 teams spent less, so by mag logic they must all be weaker.

Our squad is incredibly weak, especially with players being shoe horned into the wrong positions. Ritchie and Murphy are very poor as wing backs, our defenders look finished and we just let our best one go. ASM and Wilson will not stay fit all season in all likelihood, in fact ASM looked ruined after 60 minutes last weekend. Willock is a good player and I'm glad he signed but he's unlikely to score in the way he did last season. However, re signing him (whilst a few have left) at best leaves us standing still. We were flirting with relegation almost all of last season until last 5 games and have not improved.

It's perfectly reasonable in them circumstances to feel like we may be in bother this season. Especially with such a poor manager at the helm.

No it isn't, you doyle. If you owed the bank £100 and I paid it for you, you now owe me £100, you don't have it yourself.
For a pompous long winded knacker, you're a bit thick. The only way Big Mike can take his interest free loan back is from future profit / a sale / or replacing that borrowing with borrowing from a third party . None of which have happened to a degree where he's still owed in excess of £100 million by NUFC.

He's singled handedly keeping the club afloat

We are one of those woeful teams and will be there or there abouts. Of course spending money is no guarantee but it's clear we are really weak this season, especially once an injury or two kicks in. Ashley is taking a massive gamble this season again.

Agree about the big 6 like. Sooner they fuck off the better.
But 11 teams spent less, so by mag logic they must all be weaker.
But I'm not arsed about those teams, I'm worried about the one I support.

Nope, it's a terrible transfer window, but that's due to spunking your entire budget on 1 player. For that amount you could have got Junior Firpo, Josh Sargent, Jeremy Sarmiento and Kjell Scherpen who all went to your rivals. You're moaning you're not getting enough money, but the truth is its being spent poorly

You said other teams improved while you stood still.
Well 11 teams are weaker so you should have a good season then.(using mag logic of course)

I don't disagree at all. And thats down to poor ownership and management surely. Same as the Joelinton signing, a complete lack of due diligence.
