Must say when we were PL, this competition is the last thing I gave a shit about tbh and wouldn’t have been added if we lost to league two crap in the first round frankly. I’d be surprised if the mags felt any different and if any of them lost any sleep over it. They may be more concerned by yet another poor performance mind (according to reports)

Opposite for me. The two cups are always and should always be a priority for a club like ours.

There's nothing that seems to trigger the mags more than early cup exits, I think it perfectly sums up their inflated sense of self-entitlement.

Never forget the meltdown they had when we got to the cup final in 2014 man

Would you swap places with Newcastle?
The last few seasons, yeah in a heartbeat.

This time round, I dunno. We appear to have competent ownership for the first time in over a decade. We've got a solid foundation of kids coming through. I feel good watching Sunderland for the first time in years.

This may well be yet another false dawn. But right now, we feel like a club on the up. I really don't miss the days when the only games that mattered were the last three of the season to see if our squad of overpaid, underperforming wasters could somehow shart a last minute escape

FFS Keith who definitely isn’t a mag was going on on sky there how one sided the game was and Hennessy had made save after save.

Just looked on BBC stats… mags shots on target… 3 🙄
Downie’s bias is there for all to see tbh. He just denies it to try and play it fair but he’s constantly hanging out of the mags arse. His pinned tweet is even about them signing Wilson

They got knocked out on pens by a fellow premier league team, we beat a championship team that finished in the same league as us with a last minute goal.

Luck of the draw, can’t say I’m going to shoot my load bragging about being in round 4 of the Carribo cup like.

You should, it's fun.

And yet we were 45 minutes away from this competition giving us our biggest win in 40 years. If/when we ever get back to the Prem this trophy represents a great opportunity.
Yes, of course it’s interesting when you get to the semis and the final, but at the start of each season 99% of us weren’t bothered about it tbh. I’d never choose to lose and want to win still obviously but couldn’t really care if we did lose
