How many times do we have to read ‘should have won’, ‘been unlucky’, ‘plenty of positives’, ‘plenty games left’, blah blah blah after every f***ing game. We should be winning these games ffs regardless if it’s the 3rd or last game of the season.

I’d normally be a subscriber to this view but it’s not applicable tonight like.

People tend to look for positives when they aren’t there and exaggerate performances even when we win. Tonight we’ve done a lot right apart from the most important bit. The only two concerns from tonight was the spell when we lost composure and started going long and Johnson not being more proactive when it looked like we needed change.

It’ll be rare we have this many opportunities and not put a single one away. One of those nights.

Let's be honest, we've had the chances to win it, Burge beaten by a carbon copy of the goal Blackpool scored last season, early days but it's typical Sunderland.
