The problem with all those batsmen, they lacked consistency, so could easily end up getting skittled for low scores, but I agree there was more quality in the batting line up then and we weren't reliant on one man.We had a much better selection of batsman in the 90s. Atherton, Stewart, Thorpe, Hussain, Smith all averaged around the 40 mark at that time (Atherton and Hussain’s career average finished a bit lower). The system was a mess which completely hindered players like Hick and Ramprakash but it was a better batting side than this one.
I dunno. I thought out straightaway and drs shows it to be out albeit closer than I thought.Poor umpiring that for me

See above.if the ball is adjudged to be hitting the top of leg stump absolutely flush by Hawkeye I think it’s good umpiring that he’d been given out!
It just looked out.
Just reported thisApologies in advance but Hameed looking solid
SweatWhat was that? Fielder stopped the ball, then oddly rubbed his hand on the small of his back (on the skin), then then immediately started rubbing the ball with the same fingers????
Once again DRS had the ball dipping after contact. An 85mph ball from a bloke 6 foot 5 was dipping. Really?
See above.
