England v India (2nd test) Lords

We had a much better selection of batsman in the 90s. Atherton, Stewart, Thorpe, Hussain, Smith all averaged around the 40 mark at that time (Atherton and Hussain’s career average finished a bit lower). The system was a mess which completely hindered players like Hick and Ramprakash but it was a better batting side than this one.
The problem with all those batsmen, they lacked consistency, so could easily end up getting skittled for low scores, but I agree there was more quality in the batting line up then and we weren't reliant on one man.

FFS! Just when we were looking a bit more comfortable.

I'm following the day on BBC's live feed. Never noticed they had a count for how many people are viewing the page live. Almost 152,000 on the cricket live update feed and they say test cricket is dying ;)

What was that? Fielder stopped the ball, then oddly lifted the back of his sweater and shirt up, rubbed his hand on the small of his back, then then immediately started rubbing the ball with the same fingers????
