England v India (2nd test) Lords

So when its in India its blatant cheating Kohli, umpires, BCCI conspiracies. Now its in England with English umpires its also blatant cheating?

If you want to take it back to India, check the threads from that time. I stand by everything I said.

With regards DRS, I’ve been very vocal for a long time on that ‘accuracy’ they claim to have. Plenty of posts calling out ‘strange’ decisions that have benefited England too.
So he gets a ton, who else gets.a score?

He’ll have to score a double ton in this one.
You're talking out your arse.

He was excellent first time round. He got injured, otherwise who knows he might have never left the team.

Seriously? You sure that’s the line you’re going with? And it’s me that’s talking out of their arse?!
This
Better day for England, have India as slight favourites, will be massive favourites if Root goes early in the morning.
England are 9/2 mate, India are 4/5. They’re massive favourites now.

Averaging 40 odd in India as a teenager.

2 half centuries against Ashwin and Jadeja. One he scored injured as he came in at like 8.

I watched every minute of those innings in 2016. He was excellent and showed grit and determination of a player who'd been playing for 10+ years.

The majority batted like f***ing morons in that series.

Whats happened to him since doesn't mean he wasnt good enough in 2016.

If you want to go back and find posts from 2016 to back you up then please do. Otherwise your wrong.

I think the issue with Sibley is that he doesn’t have gears. So he has to bat through a long long time to make a big score, and a long time means he’s more likely to get out. If that makes sense?

Rahul accelerated nicely in the end.
It is and always will be the issue for me, Rahul is more than capable of upping the rate when and if required where Sibley can't
You wanted him in....

Perfect example of a mentally weak player shitting his pants on the big stage.
Hway mate that’s a bit unfair, I am not a fan of his, not my type of cricketer but that’s unfair based of just that one ball!

*you’re

The irony of telling someone they’re wrong by using the wrong you/your/you’re

Anyway, 5 years is a long time in any sport, he missed a straight half-volley today and with the exception of half a season this year has looked very ordinary ever since that Series.

I’d love him to score a hundred in the second innings, but he won’t. Kid is only in because the cupboards (not only are they bare) have been ripped off the wall. Mind it’s typical of England to stick a square peg in a round hole by batting him 3.

Tbf it’s a circular peg in a nearly circular hole. Batting 3 for England means more often than not you’ll be batting inside one over, therefore effectively opening the batting anyway. So it’s just semantics really

Its not the issue for me, Sibley doesnt score enough runs, thats the issue.

If he scores a 100 I couldnt care less how long it takes, but he doesnt, or hasn't for about a year now.

I think he needs dropping soon mind, his dismissal today was poor, but he wont get dropped for his strike rate, just his lack of runs

The key point though that everyone needs to remember is that there arent many options out there, people keep spouting names "get him in" etc, no proof they will do any better

Hameed a good example

Its more on Twitter but I saw few cricketers saying ridiculous how Ollie Pope isn't playing, and everyone piles on agreeing, he is instantlly better because he is out of the side. He made no runs in test or county cricket for a year, he needs taking out for a bit.

I want Malan in the side, or suggest him in the side, but I have no real faith he will score any more than these lads.

Pope has made 555 runs at 61 this year in the championship mind

Like I have said mate, they are times in a cricket match even a test match where you do need to adapt your game on occasions to the game situation and score a little faster, granted the majority of times a opener in test cricket does not need to do that but on occasions they do

Imo a international cricketer should have the ability to score a little quicker when required and Sibley can’t do that even on good wickets because he hasn’t got the shots.

The slight chance we had of victory when NZ declared earlier on in the summer is a example of that ,they was a granted a small chance of chasing that total but it became a nil chance opening with Sibley.

I could care less how quickly he scores a 100 because on very good wicket if he does it soo slow , it may not give us time needed to bowl out the opposition to win a game.

Even test cricket has time restraints.

He is not the answer at all, and very worrying that he is next batsman in line.

Even more worrying is there does not seem to be obvious better players

Right so you've said all that which is fair enough.

Could have done it without saying he wasn't good enough then. As that part was wrong.

That's all the issue was here.

Not doubting your judgement of a cricket player.

No need to be a grammar pedant. Most boring type of person in a conversation, which you're a lot better than.
