Panic buying

No packs of bottled water in either or Sainsburys or Tesco locals - had to get 3 x 660ml of ice cold San Miguel instead (for a fiver - jackpot!!)

Sod that shit what about Redpeppers!
Can I write something in very small letters, think of it as I've hunched up in a ball as this is very cringe

but I did clock the stocks of peppers 2 weeks ago. There was two (yes two) containers full. There was a lot of very shiny red ones.

This place has a lot to answer for

a result of the ludicrous pingdemic , healthy folk staying at home cause they came close to someone who may have covid

Discussion on R2 yesterday about daft pings.
Bloke got a message to self isolate from a day he hadn't left home. He lived a few metres from a bus stop terminus it must have come from that. Others were getting pinged because a neighbor had tested positive. They were seperated by a wall, or floor or ceiling if they were flat dwellers. Unfortunately Bluetooth can't see walls. The app needs tweaking.

It’s not panic buying it’s lack of staff off isolating and not enough workers to stock the shelves. Media shouldn’t be suggesting it’s panic buying because more fuckwits will go out and panic buy.

Moved more stock in the last year with fewer drivers. It's good that shelves stayed as full as they have for as long as they have.

For us there'll be potential shortages of things. Focused on beer and snacks during the Euros, letting other areas slide and now focusing on those areas which might mean beer shortages soon. And prioritising fresh and produce first over grocery. Starting to have bigger issues with ice cream and lollies as well as shorter supplies on some big drink lines. Though that might be down to working in a small shop as they might be focusing small drinks for smaller stores and big drinks for bigger stores.

Morrison’s salad section distinctly bare this afternoon, fortunately they still had bags of the pea shoots, purple radish and garlic chive combo 👍
