Andrew Neil gunning for Rashford

I'll meet you in Tesco car park later - tops off...last man standing wins ;)

He just quietly gets on with it

What a load of rubbish! I'm happy for folk to disagree but I will call out factually incorrect stuff like this. During the pandemic there was more help given from authorities and publicly funded orgs than there has ever been ever in time. No child was ever going to starve due to govt policy. I have no strong political views but I will defend them on this.
Haha. Another one with “no strong political views” … presumably “centre ground” as well, who just so happens to take the racist / right wing / bigoted position.

Seems to be a strange world, where someone does something where 95% of the proceeds/benefits go to those who need it, and are then attacked by people who do absolutely nothing good in this world over the 5%.

Even if that is the case here, which it doesn't seem to be.

Feels like you're not allowed to be "a goodie" unless you are whiter than white. Is it some kind of jealous "we need to stop this bastard from making us look bad" thing? I just don't get it.

You're mistaken - it was very widely publicised when it started and still continues to be.

Only a few weeks ago there were loads in the media about him corralling the players into giving their performance bonuses to charity
How has this got anything to do with Andrew Neil? He’s just the Chairman of the Spectator. A Chairman would have no input into editorial. Basic stuff this.
Given his background, you have to be pretty naive to think he wouldn't be involved tbh

Not to mention that the actual editor is relatively high profile. Particularly compared to other UK news editors.
Could maybe understand/forgive the lazy association with Andrew Neil if the editor was low profile.
He has always struck me as a class A spenk. That sort of Scottish accent that wishes it was English. And of course from the clique of Scotsmen with surnames for forenames.

Well maybes these greedy mofos might learn that by giving something back to your community then it makes you more likable in people's eyes and that also makes you more appealing to sponsors.

Just because he has morals and fights for them, does that mean he can now no longer earn anything like?

I'd much rather Rashford earned more and continue to do his community work than some of the pricks who want more money just for the sake of greed.

Yet the same people will defend Trump over his "charity" efforts.
