T20 :: Durham v Derbyshire

Only watched the stream and interested to hear what the folk who where at the match thought but that looked a poor quality game all round by both teams.
As far as qualifying for the quarter finals goes l would say virtually every season in the north group if you loose twice to Northants and once to both Derby and Leicester you ain't finishing in the top 4.
Roll on Sunday!

Looked pretty poor all round tbh, shame it's petered away after such a promising start
Marty: "Ladybower reservoir, a favourite meeting spot for cycle club runs and...."
Dave Fletcher: "doggers"
The road from Barnsley to Glossop doesn't even pass Lady Bower either

The bairn decided she was tired so we left after the Derbyshire power play, but got home in time to catch the last three overs on the stream.

Bedingham going for what looked like a golden duck? was far from ideal but Durham had a couple of decent overs,
thanks to Raine, and thought 176 was a decent score given the slow-ish start of the first two. Lack of many sixes in the game probably tells you all you need to know about the quality of the contest.

Really missing Carse and Trevaskis IMO; I’ve enjoyed seeing Stokes in person but he’d had a couple of poor games to start with.

He's 22 year old his record is excellent
I thought you said he was rubbish for the second xi and Salisbury should be playing instead?

As you say, he's still fairly young as cricketers go. However we also had a 17 year old and 18 year old bowl a 14 run over each. That is too much collective inexperience in the bowling attack.

Bringing in the Dutch lad looks a good decision but we really were missing a more experienced bowler to take the ball off Potts when he had a mare.

No I said Salisbury had never let Durham down and anyway totally different format

No doubt about Potts was pants 4 for 50. are not good figures
What started off very promising with a bang ended up a very damp squid of a campaign
We really missed Trevaskis who has been excellent for us. I also think Dickson deserves a lot of credit for his steady away constant contribution in this campaign
