Must have changed since I was last there. We went for a meal in Lark Lane and returned to my cousins house about a 300 yd walk away to find two scallies pissing over his car.
When we respectfully requested that they stop one pulled a knife. A hairy end to the night I can tell you.
Well that’s ridiculous. Valued £75k less than my bungalow
For £100k more than a house in Ryhope.
We had a company come and pack up the house and loaded into a lorry 2 days later. Cost about a grand and a half. Best money I've genuinely ever spent.I did it myself last year with help from family. Hired two LWB sprinters and did shuttles between the two houses. I think we ended up with four runs on day one and one run with a single van the following day.
Obviously, it pissed down all day which dampened spirits somewhat and I ended up putting more into the garage to sort later than I originally intended.
I think I have one more move in a good few years from now and I’ll do everything possible to thin out any shite we have prior to the move and pay a company to do it for me.
Why is that not snapped up for that price? Cheaper than a 2 bedroom house in SR6

Isn't it just a guide price? I reckon it'll got for a fair bit more than that
I'm planning on doing our move myself. Being an old git with a pre 97 driving licence I canhire a 7.5 tonne box lorry with a tail lift. Hoping to do the move in a single trip. Just need to find somewhere to buy. we're sweating on an offer we put in at the weekend, should find out this afternoon if we've got it.Mate, I’m waiting on solicitors and will be doing exactly the same.
Ive got a van and a driver, hired another transit and got my L200 to put a few bits in.
Dreading it
Agreed. Done moves myself in the past and never again. We had a company come and pack up the house and loaded into a lorry 2 days later. Cost about a grand and a half. Best money I've genuinely ever spent.
Yeah I moved ourselves last time but I was at the limit. Moved one bed and not much gear this time was a different kettle of fish. Also happened to be the hottest day of last year. Poor lads were soaked with sweatThe time before wasn’t so bad so I had prepared myself for a similar day. This time was the polar opposite.
It is unfinished. Not clear from the Rightmove page.
Me mate has just bought a 4 bed on Burdon Rise and the garden is a good size tbf. Must depend which plot you get.All the new builds estates along Burdon Lane have small gardens. I looked at one on Burdon Rise (plot 48) and on plan it looked okay. We then took a walk along the footpath in the woods to the side and the foundations were in so you could see the layout. Tiny garden and because of the site gradient, massively overlooked by the house in the next cul-de-sac.
All depends what you’re used to really. They are like chicken coops.Me mate has just bought a 4 bed on Burdon Rise and the garden is a good size tbf. Must depend which plot you get.
Not sure about the tiger skin on the wall

I’d love to know this history of that. At first I wondered did someone buy it and decide to do it up like it was the 1920s, because a lot of the stuff doesn’t look that old. But there is no record of a previous sale of that house on rightmove, which seems to go back at least 30 years.
Nice place if you are in the Avengers . I note they dont specify a price - basically if you have to ask you cant afford it I guess
This one is my wife's favourite place its 5 minutes up the road from us - a bit out of my price range sadly
