Atmospheric distortion will scupper a lot of what you see depending on distance.
You're told of your north and south pole and that's all you really know.
You're shown lights in the night sky and you are told they move because earth spins.

You're told your moon is upside down in Australia compared to the northern hemisphere of the globe you believe in and are told it's because of the globe that this happens.

You bought into the story and you are part of the masses that did so....including myself at one stage in my young life.

You can argue it because everything is at your fingertips and that's fine. But you do not have any proof the earth is a spinning globe.

You are unable to come up with any facts to support your theory that could not be refuted by a teenager.

I’m sure you could read the laws yourself but the suggestion that Foucault’s pendulum moves of its own volition goes against the first law.

But bring it back a second because I’m not bothered about proving the world is spherical. Your demand for irrefutable facts also needs to be applied to a flat earth theory. You are refuting what other people claim as evidence with claims of your own that go agains laws of physics and your claims have no reasonable basis.

You claim that the world is flat…how can you prove that?

There’s a motor inside that moves the pendulum at exactly the rate at which the earth is claimed to spin. Rupert Murdoch installed it himself.

In all seriousness though, don’t try and prove it to him…facts are all refutable, particularly if you’re an idiot, so ask him to come up with his irrefutable facts for a flat earth and then refute them.

Space travel is shortly going to become viable for the masses thanks to the likes of Virgin Galactic, this will make it hard to refute what will be even more overwhelming evidence. Even flatards will be able to see for themselves, although they will probably come up with excuses such as fisheye windows to keep their delusions going and to make themselves feel special.

Yes, I have an odd fascination.

Don’t believe anything unless you can prove or see it yourself they say. But the things you can easily observe and try yourself are ignored. What I really find fascinating is that common held views, experiments, proofs etc are waved away for reasons then they go down a hole and have to make up more and more bat shit crazy stuff to try and explain it. You end up with a cosmos set up like the old mouse trap game, full of crazy contraptions to match observable evidence. It is strange, worrying but oddly entertaining.

Have you seen the film ‘Behind The Curve’, about Flat Earthers? They set up a scientific team to prove the earth is flat…they did separate experiments which actually proved the curvature of the earth and they were gutted.

I'm not pushing a flat earth.
I'm refuting a global earth and have given one very reasonable piece of evidence that anyone can do.
Just observe and test water for conforming to the container it is in and how a large body of water will be level.

You believe water curves convexly and I believe it's flat and level when calm.

You need to prove your side because your side is handed out s factual.

My side can be proven by anyone wanting to physical prove it for themselves.
