Cameron Duncan as well mate sadly died aged 51 4 years ago. Only played 3 games in mid 80s but can remember him saving a penalty down Grimsby.Desperately sad to lose him. Also the posts from those that knew him really hit home. Seems like he was a lovely bloke.
Quite a few ex goalies died young or were seriously ill. Fulop, Hesford and Carter. Tony Norman is still alive but was seriously ill. He was, and still is, my all-time favourite Sunderland player.
True but he could still kick it further than Iain HesfordRIP Tim. Remember his amazing goal kicks constantly going out of play especially away at Brighton
Didn’t realise Carter was in nets that day. And I was there, in what could only be described as a cage in the Leazers end.Game at the shit tip 0-1 defeat .Scott Sellars free kick and Tim Carter goal kicks constantly gan out of play.
Was living in Durham when he passed.Did he live in eighton banks or am I mistaken?
Aye he was.. I was there also .. Sunday mid day kick off.. pissin down with rain.. Missed first 20 mins as the filth only had 2 turnstiles open.True but he could still kick it further than Iain Hesford

Yeah mate was sad news think he had cancer. As a budding keeper yourself he probably caught your eye as a youngster.didn't know he had died..just put a photo of him on my wall last week too..even though he never played hardly he was one of my first favourite players
